Judy, glad you solved the problem.  When I make Cumquat marmalade I just boil the whole Cumquats until soft, then squash them on a chopping board.  Flick out the pips and slice the skin and pulp. No need then to boil them with the marmalade.

Good problem solving Judy.

I bought myself a new handbag today. I seem to be so hard on them.
DD cleaned out her ;lipstick pile today. She gave me a choice before she threw them out. I scored about 20, mainly Christian Dior ones. I'm very happy about it.

Do you use the Thermomix Chookie?
Wow cookie, my Mum would love a daughter with so many lipsticks, she has always worn lippy and goes through it like there’s no tomorrow.

I wear it round the house as well, just to use all the ones I have. It saves me buying any lip balm or anything.

Bought a new spiraliser.  My existing one works fine but it has an individual suction cap on each leg and is not stable whilst you are using it so this new one has a big suction pad on the underside and it feels good and solid to use.  I hope so, anyway.

Judy, I mostly use the TMX for making jam.  Only in Summer when there is a lot of free fruit do I use the stove top. With the TMX, once I have made the first lot I can just repeat the timing and go do other things around the house. I have just made a batch of Chilli jam . Men just love it and I was asked for some.  I also make the Sweet Chilli sauce posted on here. It is very popular.

With the local Kitchen shop closing, I bought a few things that I had been putting off purchasing. I bought a Madeline pan. A Le Creuset. It is amazing. I had been reading the posts on the Forum and it was helpful how Judy had put the comments together. Yes, I got the little raised lumps in the center but thought they were were a bit bland even though I added grated orange rind. Ral suggested choc chips.  ( he would add chocolate to everything). Will try this next time.

Not my shopping but our eldest GD (23) has just purchased her first home.  It's in Queensland near the Sunshine Coast, she plans on moving up there in mid January, she has applied for a nursing job up there and is hopeful of getting it.  We will miss her when she goes.

Yes you will Margaret but the upside is that it will be a great place to go for a holiday!

Wow, that's quite some purchase Margaret.  Fingers crossed that she will get the job, and what a place to live and work!  I am sure you will miss her, but, as Judy said, what a place for a holiday!

How amazing buying your first home at that age. Good on her.

DD and I went out on the town today. First to Ikea, where we got lost, but didn't buy anything. We then went to an Estee Lauder outlet that her social club gives them passes to, lots of lovely stuff there. The next stop was the DFO as DD wanted to buy some new walking sneakers. When we came out of there it was so smoky we thought we had been migrated to NSW, however it was from prescribed burns. Next stop was a late lunch, but they took so long preparing our lunch that it was almost an early dinner. Home now to a rest.

Cookie, sounds like a perfect day.
Mab, that is very exciting for your GD.  Yes, you will miss her.  I’m sure she will find a job.

Going to Melbourne for 3 nights on Monday.  Staying at Sofitel. Will try not to do too much shopping.  Will catch up with family.  Appointments and Xmas shopping.
