They look delicious Mich. I've only ever used pearl barley in soups.

Stunning cake Kimmy, lucky sister you have. Chicken soup is such a soul food, I have my own pot on and there are no germs here.
Afternoon cook up, still packing the freezer before DH gets home Friday night. Skinnymixers bhuna gosht in the slow cooker, chicken soup on the stove top,  bread dough proving for kiddo to play with (we will get some interesting shaped rolls to go with soups haha) pumpkin soup in the freezer already and a creamy cauliflower one cooking now. Preparing banana bread batter and veg for a new batch of stock now.

Apart from the rolls, kiddo has made anti LCM Bars,  butter and prepared his fruit for the freezer. He loves frozen citrus, banana and berries as snacks.

Kristy, you are going for it with all the cooking. Great fun. Kids love making their own rolls.
I took 1 1/2 K of chicken thighs from freezer. Last night we had souvlaki. Have cooked Bafs chicken and made an Italian themed chicken dish for tomorrow night.

Busy Chookie and KristyS. I've made some vegetable soup with a few lentils thrown in for fun, some bread and a batch of Weekender Biscuits. These are an old favourite from the WW book.

Kimmy, your cake looks superbbb!!
You surely are very talented, but really curious to know how you shaped the shoe? Did you buy a cake mould?

It's a 3d chocolate mould thermilover.  Very easy. Melt chocolate, pour into mould and swish around.
