This morning I made QuirkyJo's Raw cereal for my breakfast, then Nay-Nay's " you can't have too many muffins" which I took for "elevenses" at my weekly morning upholstery class. They went down a treat with the class. This afternoon I helped a friend who took delivery of her Thermomix cook in her new machine. She had stage fright! We made Leek and Potato soup,Isi's bread rolls, rhubarb compote, sorbet and bafa's Award Winning Creamy Chicken and Veggies in the Varoma.Gave her the tip about how to fit the butterfly.Everything turned out great.I then rushed home.Oh! I forgotten to take something out the freezer!!Found a couple of red peppers in the bottom of the fridge, so I rustled up Red Pepper ( Capsicum) soup and while that was cooking grilled bacon to make BLT's.DH loved the soup( have we had this before? Yes Dear!)We then finished off the Chocolate Fudge Cake.

I didn't know Mrs.T was a "chocoholic" that explains why she was drooling over the Chocolate Fudge Cake!! I have another chocolate cake recipe but I haven't converted it yet, but don't worry I will!!

I have a lovely DH Thermomixer. He can't boil an egg though!!There have only been a few things I have cooked for him in the past 37 years that he has made bad comments on.Meatloaf,a seafood pasta sauce, gnocchi all got the thumbs down.Recently I was told the Chicken in Yogurt was too sour for him, so that's off the menu.He adores bread, so I just sling fresh bread on his plate if I think he might react to the "new dish"You might try my tactic with Mrs T.

Never heard of Rosella's so I just looked on the web to what they look like. Nay-nay what do they taste like, can you give me an idea of a similar flavour?

There are two things that I'm very wary of when I"m cooking, one is lemon.Like you experienced, it don't half kill a recipe dead! The other ingredient is ginger. One of my favourite cookery writers is Delia Smith and I always think she goes overboard in recipes with these two things.

Welcome Frozzie, nice to have someone else in the northern hemisphere.I live in the U.K.Like CreamPuff63 said there is a English Fast and Easy cookbook. If you contact U.K.Thermomix they are very friendly people who will post them to you. They also have other books in English, many are originally from Australia. One book I recommend is the Indian cookbook. Its great to hear that you are loving your Thermomix. They are a great crowd her to steer you through any hiccups you might encounter. http://www.ukthermomix.com/recshow.php?rec_id=23

I suppose the only thing to do is bombard her with the authors of the original recipe development. We all love our Thermomix and part of that is to share recipes, especially on this wonderful forum.

After reading this thread about the website, I had a look.I think it's very naughty not to give credit to the people who have developed a recipe. It will be interesting Cookie what her reply will be to your email.

Thanks RoxyS for comments and the idea of adding orange to make it a jaffa type cake.Your cake looks wonderful even though you had a mishap in the making of it.

Oh! yes please farallina for the other meat loaf recipe. My DH says he doesn't like meatloaf, because of a cooking incident when we were first married. He said it looked like "cat food"That was over 30+ years ago and I might try again if it's well disguised in one of your fabulous recipes!!
