This may be a silly question but I am new to this forum. Why do you list all the recipes in the recent book? I thought maybe it was so we can search for them in the forum to get the recipes. I tried to search for Frozen Berry Yogurt but it did not come up. Just wondering as I am always trolling for new things to do with my wonderful TM!!!
-
Yaque, we have indexes of all the cookbooks so that TMX owners can have a browse and decide if they want to buy the book. The odd recipe will appear on the forum but HO would not be happy if all recipes were available free, no-one who writes a book would. Because the latest edition has so many extra recipes than the original EDC it was necessary to do another list.
There are so many recipes here, on people's blogs and on the UK Thermomix website - you should never have a problem finding a recipe.
We have a thread in Chit Chat which has a list of URL links to TMX blogs.

Hi there
Does anyone know how I can buy the new EDC? I don't have a consultant anymore
-
Perhaps you could ring HO on toll free 1800 004 838 and ask them charlieboy. I just checked out their site but no mention of the new EDC on there.
-
The new EDC is available from Aust/NZ consultants for $40. This month (May 2013) hosts who already own the EDC can get the new one for $25 or free if somebody at their demo buys. If you go to the http://www.thermomix.com.au website, you could click the CONTACT US link and say where you live and what you want if you'd like to purchase it for $40 or book a demo to get the reduced price.
-
Thank you both. Still trying to decide if I need it or not - can't work out if there is much difference to the EDC I have :)
-
Mine was delivered this morning and I am very happy with it. There are a few more recipes but it is the formatting I like and think I will be getting more use of this one because of that.
-
I've spoken to the SA State Manager about this book and she told me there are a few misprints in the current book. She is dropping a book off to me in the morning complete with a list of alterations so I will list them then. A revised reprint has been ordered and is due in 2-4 weeks.
If you are looking to replace your original or early version of the EDC this book is only available through your consultant and if you have lost your consultant then please ring HO Australia on freecall 1800 004 838 and they will put you in touch with another consultant.
I'll have some surprises to share with you tomorrow as well ;) Stay tuned.
-
Oh judy, please no more suspense. Amy's secret is driving me nuts....now you have one!
-
I promise to reveal all tomorrow Kimmy - I'd do it now except I don't have all the details. Let's just say some more giveaways, will that do for now :D
-
Oh gosh! I'm with you Kimmy... I'm not good with surprises!
-
Yes thanks judy, but how will I sleep tonight with such excitement :D
-
Have a few drinks Kimmy ;)
-
Thanks for the tip Judy ;)
-
Do you mean the brand new EDC has misprints? I just bought one of the new look a couple of weeks ago ???
-
Only a few errors CP, very minor. I will let you know what they are tomorrow.
-
Well I have just received the drop off, 5 copies of the latest print of Rawlicious, 5 of Lunch Box & After School Ideas and 2 copies of the Baby & Toddler cookbook. Details once us moderators have decided how we will conduct this giveaway. It will be different from last time, not a first come first serve basis.
I also have the list of changes to the new EDC and will add them to the list at the beginning of this thread. The book has gone to the printers for a second print with these amendments.
-
Minor or not the mistakes are there. The new book is not a large tome and certainly anyone who has a handle on the English language should have spent time proof reading before going to print and also the printed copy before it went on sale. At $40 per copy (plus postage) its disappointing to learn that after all these years this book already has mistakes. Not happy.
-
I'm disappointed too CP. Mine was only delivered yesterday morning by my consultant who didn't mention anything about the mistakes :(
At least when I the Devil of a Cookbook, the mistakes were printed on a card and slipped into the front of the book. Disappointed.
-
they should replace everyones copies with the correct one

That would be nice! HO really need to do something about having good recipes. If the EDC was the only book I bought and I didn't know about www.forumthermomix.com then I'd certainly be questioning the value of the machine. Luckily so many of us have found this wonderful forum and are using our machines regularly.
-
Thanks Judy for the amendments.
If it wasn't for this forum I wouldn't have known. This might explain why my beef stroganoff wasn't quiet right ;), having never made it before as it has mushrooms in it & deciding to give it a go without mushrooms I had nothing to compare it too.
-
Just made a slight change to my previous posting in this thread - only just discovered there are 5 copies of the Lunch Box & After School Ideas booklet and 5 of Rawlicious, not 10.
-
I am disappointed too. They have had plenty of time to get it right. My consultant is dropping off my new one this week. It will be interesting to see if she knows about the mistakes.
Giveaways sound exciting Judy :)

Try Chelsea's tweaks kmw. Stroganoff turns out perfect everytime, with or without mushrooms. It's a favourite in our house. Nice with chicken too.
-
I wish I knew about the revisements before beginning to make soft butter rolls. A waste of ingredients now.
-
Annoyed. My TMX is not even a month old. Why do I end up with the January 13 reprint if there is a later one?
-
I'm planning to buy the new EDC from the tmx website as (a) I've moved to another state and (b) my consultant no longer sells tmx. How can I know if I'm buying the original with the errors or the corrected reprint? Does it state it on or inside the cover somewhere?
I have the original EDC and was visiting a friend last night who has the new one - I sat there for hours reading through the recipes!
Thanks! ;D
-
May 2013 is the one I have Melinda so look for that on the inside cover. What is your friend's date inside her book?

I'll have to get her to check, I'm not at her house any more.
So May 2013 is the corrected reprint, is that correct?
-
Yes, correct.
