Cool fan Chookie (see what I did there)  ;D

Yes Cornish, I bought an Oroton tote in Indigo.  Have been on the look out for a dark navy bag for so long but could only find a mid blue which isn't what I wanted.  I ordered it early yesterday morning and got it for $129 ($140 saving).  I now see it's selling for $161  :o

And (don't laugh), I ordered a SodaStream for me  ;D I drink 2-3 litres spring water every day and just recently I've been jazzing it up by having a few glasses of soda water with sliced fruit added.  Have found it so refreshing for a change.

I liked this one as it uses glass not plastic bottles.  Will be an alternative now and then instead of just normal spring water. I also ordered 2 more of the glass bottles.  ;D
Not interested in using the syrups you can buy to make soft drinks as I haven't had soft drink for about 9 or 10 years now.  :D

Beautiful cool morning before a hot day.  DH and I were out the house by 5.15 this morning.  About 6 people were already spread out around the jetty fishing.  The water was like silk, so lovely.  Didn't see any dolphins (did yesterday though).

It's going to be 43 here and quite warm overnight / morning so we are having tomorrow morning off.  Should be back to cool again on Sunday.  :D

DH going to his mums to do some jobs early and I'm going to do some cooking before it gets warm.  Keep cool everyone who will be experiencing it in the next few days.  :D

What a shame Judy, I bet it tastes good too.  I know it might sound weird, but could you put some of the slice in the TM and blitz it until it's practically smooth?  Might not look great but all the flavour would still be there and it might just enable you to eat it.

I wonder if a sago/tapioca pudding would be easier to eat.  I think it would be softer than rice, or even a pudding made with semolina?

Great ideas, thanks Julie. I would heat the slice up then blitz it and could add some more mixed Sustagen if it needs to be thinner.  My friend is here and she already has a plan to take the ingredients for a sago pudding with us on Saturday after I told her of your suggestion.  Thanks Julie.

That's good to hear Judy, i hope it works out.  Enjoy your weekend.  :D

Thank you girls, I really enjoyed today's serve too.  Will be making more next week in jars, so easy and I felt really good afterwards.

Cookie, I have sent you a PM  :D

There's one in the Festive Flavour cookbook Chookie if you have this book?  It's also on Cookidoo.  This should show you the ingredients to see if it appeals.

I really enjoyed my meal today.  It was a Michelle B meal called Rainbow Salad, the dressing was simple and perfect.  I so enjoyed it I made up another one and made it into a salad in a jar.  All I'll need to do tomorrow is upend it into a bowl and dive in.  ;D

Thanks Chookie & Julie - unfortunately the zucchini slice was too difficult for me to eat,

Your weekend away sounds great, I'm sure you will enjoy it immensely with your friends and do you the world of good.  :D

Our lovely gardener and us are finding it hard to make the break. She has invited us to her home for Avo tea next Tuesday. I would like to make her a nice Xmas cake.  She is spending Xmas with her family for the first time in many years.  I thought she might like to contribute it to the family lunch.  She is in the middle of shifting, she is not expected to contribute.
Help needed please.  Has anyone got a good recipe , made now but good in a months time.
Warmer today.
Follow up on hearing aids. All good.

Chookie, I had a look through my kept recipes and I don't have a saved Christmas cake that I've made and liked enough to keep.  Sorry I'm no help there.  It can be an expensive fail with all the fruit/alcohol if you don't get the right one.  I wonder if there's one on this forum, must have a look.  :D

Edited to show.

I found this one you tried a few years ago now Chookie, seems you liked it after a week or so. Plus a few more posts.

Cuilidh, I've made many bbq sauces over the years but never found 'the one'.  I've had this recipe saved to give it a try soon as it does sound good.

Nice variety there Judy.  Sometimes it's good to have a cook up, it's quite satisfying knowing you have supplies in the freezer.  :D

I like the sound of your biscuits Cookie, have put them on my list.  Haven't made biccies for ages.  :D

No rain here as yet but very heavy skies and quite a cold wind.  Was very dark on our morning walk today, was like being back in winter again.  The air was fresh and really smelled of the sea.  Really good after a couple of hot days. :D

Nice pud Chookie  :D

Mab love the tops, so bright and cheerful  :D

I've made a Malaysian coconut chicken marinade (cookidoo) and have butterflied a chicken which is now marinating in it, supposedly overnight.  Not sure whether I'll cook it on the grill later or leave for tomorrow, will see.  :D
