Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / Potato and Leek soup New EDC
« on: November 06, 2013, 09:18:53 am »
I made this soup today as per the recipe in the new EDC.  The only difference that I used was to add an additional potato making it approx 500g of potato. I added the extra potato after reading reviews of the recipe in the older EDC. Unfortunately the soup still mainly tasted of onion/leek. I'm not sure what the solution is but next time I would only add half an onion plus another extra potato.

Vegetarian / Re: Mashed Potatoes - the best way ?
« on: October 28, 2013, 05:32:08 am »
Recipe for my mash. 1kg potatoes diced into 2cm cubes 250mls lite milk or full if you prefer, a little salt. Cook @ 100deg for 20min or so on ^^. When cooked turn speed to 4 for approx 30sec add a dob of butter and a little milk if required. YUMBO

Love it!

I thought mashed potato in the Thermomix sounded easy until I started trying to find recipe reviews. I have to admit I am a bit apprehensive now but I am going to give it a try using this method. I hope the potatoes I had in the cupboard are floury, or a least a suitable allrounder. Wish me luck! ;)

Could someone please check if the envelope is showing on the left near my name? I have ticked hide email from public but it appears to be available. TIA

Recipe Book Recipe Reviews / Review Creme Brulee new EDC
« on: October 16, 2013, 05:24:50 am »
Marmee there is this recipe on the UK Thermomix website for you to compare recipes  :)
http://www.ukthermomix.com/recshow.php?rec_id=28

I realise that this is an old post but I did a forum search on Creme Brulee from the EDC. I am a very new thermomix owner and I made the recipe from the current EDC. I think my creme brulee is overcooked so next time I am going to try the UK version.
Thanks Cornish Cream
