OMG. I had to have it with an ice block as it was still hot.

I bought 2 more bottles of Vodka today ready for the next load of plums.  I used my Coles gift voucher from Hobart and only had to put $10 with it.  It's a lovely drink cookie but I dilute mine with lemonade.

I probably will too. I just had to taste it. It was nice with the ice block. I'd love one now but it is only 2pm. A bit early for me to start drinking, especially alone.  :D :D

I made 2 batches of this liqueur again last night, that's probably it for the plums from my source this year.  I added sugar to the leftover plums used in this recipe then pureed it.

I've now made a plum chocolate cake, some plum puddings and a plum smoothie for breakfast.

Next, a frozen plum yoghurt mixed in the ice-cream maker.

Lastly, plum ice-cream.

Thanks cookie. The season doesn't last long, thankfully all done before this heat gets worse.

It was great fun Chookie, I had so many recipes from which to choose that I will need to start a 'fruit' file so that I can find them easily next year.

I am so disappointed that some unknown person has raided mum's tree this year!  She's been away in hospital a couple of times getting new knees, but that's no excuse!!!  Her place was being looked after, and it was only a couple of days each time she was away, but during the second trip (we think) her tree was completely stripped. >:( So no jam, steamed plums or this delicious drink for another year.

That's disappointing Jo, fruit season comes and goes in a flash and it's such a long wait until the next one.
