I've never heard of sea mullet here Amy - wonder what the equivalent would be in SA fish markets.  Google didn't help me at all :(

Pudding made this morning. Going to slow roast the lamb.

Just had a sandwich for lunch now resting back for half hour.

Made fresh ricotta, turned it into ricotta gnocchi, and topped with a smokey/spiced kabana tomato sauce.

I had 2 chicken kievs left over from last night, so I made an anything goes pasta sauce. I blitzed onion, carrots, capsicum, and garlic in the TC and sauteed them in some oil. I had half a chorizo, a kransky sausage, and the chicken, so I added these to a tin of tomatoes and a small jar of pasta sauce and some olives.
I have also made a moroccan lamb dish in the PC, with help from the TC for dinner tomorrow night

The leg of lamb is in the oven.

The rub was made in  *: just all blitzed.
Then put the water in  *: to get all flavour out of bowl.

Then sliced onions and potatoes in processor.
Layered in baking dish with salt and pepper and plain flour on each layer. 3/4 fill dish with milk, cover with butter papers and foil. Slow cook.
Last half hour take off covers to brown top.

It is a forgiving dish, can be done very slowly, or a bit faster depends what else oven used for.

Still got no car so no shopping. Found some red cabbage in freezer already cooked, plus French beans and broccoli, all home grown. And just enough softish raspberries to have 5 each on top of chookies choc delight.

Don't know when I will have car back makes housekeeping impossible, although DD is stopping for few things on way home from work.

Am having another rest til 7pm, apart from basting lamb.
Visitors come at 7.30.

OMG I am obviously losing the plot somewhat!!!

Got it all ready the realised visitors coming next MOnday!!

Ah well you know what we are all having  for dinner tomorrow now. It was all very good. Just wish I didn't feel such a idiot!!!
Never done that before.

I agree that gnocchi looks great. I've only ever made gnocchi once, before TMX. Definitely on my to do list!

That's strange Judy, Google usually has an answer for everything ???
Next time I am at the fish factory, I will ask the lady if she knows what your equivalent would be over there ;)

Tonight we are having Kimby83's Creamy (non-dairy) chicken, garlic & sundried tomato bake with beef mince instead of chicken, but given that I don't have JD's sauce or Quirky Jo's sour cream ready to go yet, I better get a wriggle on!
