Me too JD, love soup and now that I'm trying out bread recipes, find it goes hand in hand.

We are having this for dinner tonight.  It is really delicious.  We will have it with JulieO's Cheese & Garlic pull apart.

Made this today for lunch to use up some 'odd' vegetables in the frig.  Very nice indeed, will  certainly make it again.  We have people staying with us for a few days next month, so this will be a great evening meal after having lunch at the winery, sight seeing etc.  In fact I may even chop the veges first and freeze them so it one less step to think about.  Thanks for the recipe

Bump.
I'd forgotten how delicious this soup is. I don't add the tomato paste or pizza sauce.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

The original and the best  ;)
This soup gets made heaps over winter in our house!  I love how it can be made at short notice with pantry/fridge staples, and doesn't need pre-planning and defrosting anything.
