The Happy Thread

Just received the best phone call - Disability Services have agreed to supply us with a shower person 3 times a week and a sitter for 3 hours a fortnight to enable me to get out and do some jobs or just meet a friend for lunch  Happy, happy, happy Judy.

Missed this. That is fantastic news Judy. Showering is a big, heavy job.

Somehow I always end up wet Cookie but the shower girls don't    OK in summer but not looking forward to it in winter.

Rule No 1 - do not give the shower hose to the pt - you will always end up wet.

Where you get eggs in the supermarket there is a button kids can push to hear a clucking chook. Yesterday I had to laugh there was a little boy continuing to press the button pretending to be a chook. He was in his own little world.

CP I must look for that button. It would have been fun to see.

Judy when Mum was alive and I showered her on the weekend I always got saturated. I never gave her the shower either. I think I wasn't very good at it. We used to just giggle, it sure beat crying. There is obviously a skill to it.
