Transferring money and then driving down to Mandurah to pick up the new/old car. Somehow it has taken all day.

Would have loved a catch up Cookie, perhaps next time you are my way?

Cookie, I was disappointed with the DFO too!
Man that SD loaf looks lovely, I love it toasted.
I have made a Christmas cake today. I think this is the first since I started fostering ( 7 years!) I have really missed homemade Christmas cake.  The tin is a family heirloom my Dad made for Mum, heavy gauge metal. So even more special.

Welcome / Re: Demo
« on: November 12, 2018, 11:09:21 pm »
Kay,
My husband got sick of me talking about it and did it for me.  We have never looked back. Now there are even more recipes around. That was 8 years ago.  It is hard to justify the money until   you are benefiting.
To be honest I think they try to be to quick with the demos and don’t develop the flavours, heaps of great recipes here once you commit.
Good luck

I can almost smell those roses Chookie, beautiful.  We celebrated a friends twins turning one today. She has 3 bios (17,14,12) and 5 fosterlings 6,5 4 and the one year olds. She is amazing, mind 20 years my junior! The twins are her four year olds siblings.
Cookie we swapped my LC Torana for a monaro when I was expecting my first born. It was awful had fat tyres and a floppy sports steering wheel. I used to feel I had carried it on my back driving the bloody thing. Memories!!

I’m sorry I am opting out this year as we are away until the 17/12 and I’m sure it would slip my mind.
More happy forum memories with past secret Santa’s

Cookie I used to love that feature in the Sunday times. I still cook some recipes I found in there, the apple pie is a regular at our house and was a farmers recipe. Nice having a story with a recipe

Gert, I’m with you. From the wash to the dryer. We have solar panels so my thoughts are if I do it when the sun shines it doesn’t cost me anything.
CC, that cake looks awfu, awfully good and reading the instructions not too difficult.  We are going on a cruise from Norway, chasing the northern lights on the 27 nov.  I’m getting frightened about the cold and searching for warm gear at the moment.
