The girls gave DW ans I a Red Balloon voucher for Christmas one year. It was for horse drawn tour of Swan Valley Wineries. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

There are lots of RED Balloon activities to choose from Wonder there might be one that would interest your DH.

We did the red balloon voucher last year for either his birthday or fathers day and he hasn't used it yet!! He's very difficult to buy for, buys all his own clothes and is quite fussy, isn't a big reader, hardly drinks and doesn't smoke. DD says she has something in mind but said it would need to be a surprise for me as well. She has a few parties this weekend so I'm worried she will forget she has offered to organise and we will have nothing on Sunday.

I understand where you both are coming from. I am the same I buy what I want, I am fussy about cloths, don't smoke, or drink much (last weekend excepted). DW asks me what I want for my B'day or what ever event and I never know what to tell her.

Maybe a voucher to a clothing store he likes?

My dad is impossible to buy for. He doesn't like me spending money on him, so whatever I buy has to be inexpensive but still meaningful. I'm thinking of making him a batch of cauliflower pickles, and printing up some stickers as labels for the jars. He won't get mad because I won't have spent a lot of money, he'll love it, and I'll feel like I've given him something meaningful. I just need to find somewhere to buy jars.

That sounds good Jakodai. I know I would appreciate something like that.

Any suggestions for a 4 slice toaster. Ours started smoking and is way too expensive to repair!

For anyone looking for a Father's Day pressie, I've ordered this for my DH for his iPad.

There's also a quick YouTube vid to see it a bit better.

It looks to be really nice leather to protect it and it also doubles as a stand.  I checked with him first and he loves the look of it.  :D

Very nice Julie. Can't beat leather and great that it is a stand as well.

Thought it best to get him something like this as he's already got a crack in his screen from dropping it  :-)).  Next time we are in Adelaide will have to take it to get fixed.  :-\

Andisenji and I have the magimix but it is only one long slice not two long which is not a problem for us but would be for a family. I would choose the two long slice toaster and I wouldn't spend too much  money on it either. Sometimes the cheapest  is the best. Pity you can' try before you buy.

Julie that looks lie a great present.

DD is still saying she will arrange the present for DH because "he's not your father"! This is the first time in 17 years she's given it any thought - must admit to being nervous.

Meagan I have a breville platinum 4 slice toaster that I bought from Target. It has a warming rack which pops up so you can reheat pastries, pizza or warm bread rolls. I really like it. Here is a quick, but poor, photo of it
