Although everywhere we go on holiday I want to move to.  ;D

Love this quote and the sentiment McMich... we stayed in a lovely flat in Cornwall for a week in October overlooking the sea, fab but as CC says Cornwall is just too far from everywhere.

Walked 3 miles today and got office ready for delivery of secondhand desks tmro and been planning my secret santa too ;)

hello all
will try to post more often, just had such tough times with DH cancer, but he is doing ok ATM, he is on immunotherapy and we are as always awaiting more scan results.
we are not now moving....  DO KEEP UP ..... lol
might get a dog to keep me company and get me out more if i can get their care sorted for the regular hospital attendances.
my DS asked last month if I was still on here and I said yes, but not often, and it made me think I should post more and keep in touch with the wonderful forum friends I have made over many years

I made a batch of golden paste this week made with turmeric and today wondered if anyone had made it in the TM?

Ive had a chronic shoulder and am trying it for anti-inflammatory purposes.
Found all the info here http://turmericlife.com.au and on the FB TUG group and wondered if anyone else makes it or uses it? I tried searching the forum but nothing came up.

Hello all, quick catch up, busy with B & B this weekend but living in wrong place as almost all DH's work is in another County so somehow, some time there will be another move. Don't know how long it will take to sell up, could be ages, and all the while the fortnightly cancer treatment to extend his life goes on. He is well at the moment, working and that's how he likes it. xx

Made these today for the guest rooms.

I added Speculaas type spices to flour
used
2 level tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp ginger
scant 1/4 tsp white pepper
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4tsp ground mace
1/4 tsp grpund nutmeg
pinch salt
1/4 tsp ground cardamon

Method slightly different I make the dough as above then tip out and gently into two sausages, cling wrap and chill, cut and bake however many slices I need. Freeze remainder till next time.

I only bake biscuits for guests when full and guests staying more than one night, otherwise I buy in shortbread fingers in small packets of 2.
