a New range is rolling out  for WW stores.

I ❤ Jamie!
It's a shame that they couldn't use an Australian to front an Aussie shop though. I'm allowed to say that considering I'm English!

I quite like Jamie but I'm a bit over him to be honest. I agree that it's a shame we have to have an overseas person to front one of our biggest stores.

It's good to have a well know person but I'm not too sure about Jamie. I like him and his recipes but just not sure.

I thought the same before working it out  ;D   I don't know why anyone needs to have a face, they're all trying to outdo each other with a bigger name.

I was being careful with my heading, heston is the face of coles, so jamie is the face of WW. :)

I can't stand WW or Coles. I shop locally and IGA.

I thought Women's Weekly too!

I really don't like Woolworths and much prefer Coles. IGA is okay, but poorly organised and not many of the brands that I like.
My brands have gradually been disappearing from Woolies lately. Love Jamie, hate Woolies.

I buy at IGA, and once a month WW online.   Our IGA is huge...

Closest coles is 45-50 minutes drive.

I really try to avoid Woolies, but do get my cocoa there, some continental products & big wedges of double Brie.  They do stock more lines than coles, but I find they are much more expensive & they have the worst check out wait times here also  :-))
I buy what I can/like at aldi, then go to coles, and if I must...go to Woolies last.
I go to the local IGA  (it's closer), only if I've run out of a few things, as I find they are expensive as Woolies if items not on special, plus there's limited options.
I try and support the local fruit shops for our veg. ect.
Jamie will make shed loads of money from this...but it still wouldn't entice me to shop there though, unless someone raves about a product, then I would consider trying it,
The supermarket wars are interesting...there is so much money invested....no wonder the little fish fold  :(

We are having both Costco & Aldi coming to South Australia so hopefully that'll keep the big boys honest here.  A bit of competition is badly needed here.

Desperately need that competition. It was mentioned months ago they were coming to WA, but haven't heard a peep since.

I'm very over the mega Jamie empire at present. Have just returned from dinner at this restaurant in Perth. Waited 2 hours, 10 minutes for a table, after we were advised wait would be around 1.5 hours. We missed out on a table because DH waited in queu whilst I parked the car but their restaurant policy is "everyone on the table MUST be present at the time the table is allocated" and I followed three mintues after DH. Our party had three adults and three children (10, and two 4-year old who could have eaten the legs off the tables). Had to wait standing up as the restaurant was full and people were "saving" bar stools for friends that were still to arrive. We complained to the staff and that didn't bother them.

Sorry about the rant, but Jamie's mega empire is just that. To top it off the rabbit (rabbit ragu pasta) was overcooked, dry and tough. Hence, I won't be shopping at WW more now that Jamie's face will be all over the ads.

I don't think I would wait for over 2 hours in a queue for a restaurant.

I would never wait more than 15 minutes for a table.

there are always other restaurants.

Our WW is cheaper and has a much better range than Coles with much better meat, fruit and vegies if I'm running low and can't get to the market or fruit shop. We quite often wait that long for a few restaurants that are favorites but they both have bars that allow children so you can relax and have a drink while waiting or they let you leave the premises and they text you when the table is ready. I would wait if it meant standing in line.

I split the difference. I shop with mum and go one week to woollies, which is near her house, and the other week to Coles near my house. Some Coles products are great, and some woollies do better. Best of both worlds. That is until you run out of a product in the wrong week 😰 😄
