Chit Chat / Thermomix books comparison.
« on: July 30, 2011, 10:42:41 am »
What I want to know is if the Every day cookery book listed on the UK Thermomix site have the same or similar content as the Fast & Easy cookery book also on the UK Thermomix site. Does anyone have them both and would care to comment?

Chit Chat / Rapadura sugar
« on: July 05, 2011, 08:29:11 am »
Hi, I have eventually found Rapadura sugar in a health food shop. I have put in an order. Can you tell me what the equivalent amount is against ordinary white granulated sugar?

Chit Chat / Recipe Books
« on: June 07, 2011, 08:09:23 am »
I have just found my oldest Thermomix recipe book. It is for the 2200.
I am supposed to be having a de-clutter but here I am, unable or unwilling to relinquish anything Thermomix. it's like having a new book all over again.  Now then what shall I make tomorrow? ........
Do you find yourself unable to throw out recipe books?

I am wondering what the etiquette is for posting recipes from other publishers. Would anyone like to comment. I wouldn't like to do the wrong thing :-))

Introduce Yourself / Me and my Thermo
« on: May 22, 2011, 02:05:27 am »
Hi everyone. I am English and living in England. I have called myself decadent because I have had a Thermomix for over 2-1/2 decades.  I have updated along the way of course and currently use a TM21 and have thought of moving on to the TM31 for years. I have held off because I keep getting an eerie feeling that an even newer model is on the way and I know that I would want the latest plus my TM21 is still doing a great job.  Having been married to a chef,  you would be forgiven in thinking that I had my meals prepared for me but that was not the case. We had hotels and restaurants and even a motel in Queensland. Sadly my husband died and now I live alone. I told myself that I don't need such an expensive toy just for me but actually, I use it every day and most meals. Today I am making curried carrot and celery soup and hummus and 5 Seed bread….and that is just for lunch! I plan my week ahead using  a terrific food software program that I have, that way I am never without the ingredients I need and I can control my diet (well I try not to sabotage the diet)  I just love this machine. It is like playing an exciting game that I never tire of winning.
