The guy next door to me at my shop has a small smoker out the back.
Smoked eel sounds great.

I think I need your Dad's address Maddy - he sounds amazing.

I'm still not sure if I like smoked eel or not. I had some again in Singapore (tried it for the first time last year) and I like it better this year. I think it's the thought more than anything else.

He isn't all sunshine and rainbows Cookie.....he's Dutch  :P.....shall say no more LOL....but I do appreciate what he makes and gives  ;)
Smoked eels are not for everyone....and forget the big fat ones...they're too oily. I  Love them, but don't love how many times you wash your hands.....you still smell them!  :P
Now roll mops are another love....and they are definitely a required taste  ;)

Oh, tonights dinner is Chelseas chow mein...but I used chicken breasts, more noodles and added garlic.
.........EAT CAKE!

An old nursing tip to get unpleasant smells from your hands. Wash in soap and water first and then wash your hands with toothpaste.
Have been doing this for many years.  Very good after handling seafood.

And another old nurse tip is  to use stainless steel soap bars or even stainless steel scrub thingies . Works a treat as does putting a stainless steel, scrub thingy into the dishwasher permentally to avoid  smells. That is the best.  I have been known to rub my smelly hands on  stainless steel  anything to be rid of fish and garlic smells.

Yes . Absolutely. I buy them as gifts for the unbelievers. Also just put a cheapo stainless steel scrubber on each level,of the dishwasher and no smells. Works a treat. Cheap as.

I've got a stainless steel 'soap' too, they are good.  I've never heard of the 'scrubber in the dishwasher' before though. Amazing the things you find out on here.  :D

Anything stainless steel in a kitchen will work.  When students complain about the smell of garlic in hospitality classes I tell them to rub their hands in and around the sink - bit useless instructing them to use any stainless steel utensil or pot at the end of a class (not terribly hygienic!!!!!) - however at home use a ss spoon or any stainless steel utensil to rub your hands if you do not have the stainless steel soap.  :)  :)

Yup that works a treat. I thought that it might work for chilli as well but believe me it doesn't.  :o
