Sorry for the delay in replying...I've been busy helping in-laws get ready to move...its a rice cooker that I've bought not a slow cooker...but it was this thread that made me look at it....its a Toshiba RC-18NMF rice cooker that has a fermentation, bake etc function.

I have the huge bowl (the oval one) and had a visit from my sister, so made this just for fun.
It was awesome with Dukkah. Next time I'm doubling it.

Thanks Stacelee for the info. Still tossing up whether I have the room for another appliance, certainly looks good.

I used the Vienna loaf recipe from the first post. Was really wet dough. Couldn't be stuffed grilling it (and we sort of just wanted to see how it tasted)
Was really easy and the house smelled sooooooo good.

I baked a loaf in my old monier Crock Pot, its about 5 litres I think,  bread turned out wonderfully only thing is I'll need a sword to cut it right across the middle :D.

Made this in my 5ltr SC, it's the first time I have been happy about the outcome. Have tried making bread in my oven but the temperature never seems to be right, thought I would have to wait until we move into our new house later this year to try making bread again when I will be getting a miele oven. So easy and my DH said it is the best so far. Debating on whether to buy a smaller SC so that it can rise a little higher.

A,  you could put the dough into a container the shape you want.

Have just made this in my old monier crockpot, but it has risen so much I can't fit it under my wall griller, can I get the oven up hi and lie the loaf with the top facing the fan?

Wow - fabulous - best loaf yet. Using Basic Bread in EDC
The crumb was a bit cake like - I had added a bit too much water I think.
Will try again during the week.

JE, I often lay the loaf on its side,  facing the fan to brown the top.  Try Cookies Vienna recipe or my No Fuss. Glad you are having fun.
