Tiramisu
« on: September 21, 2009, 01:13:31 pm »
Can someone tell me if the recipe for Mascapone cheese that's in the TMX cookbook tastes the same as the Mascapone you buy at the supermarket.

I usually make tiaramisu and don't want to go to all the trouble of making it  if it doesn't taste the same.

Thanks.

In terms of taste - it is near enough to the same, but not sure that it is that much cheaper.  But definitely in something like tiramisu - certo, penso che sia buono. (She's OK mate)

I can give you the recipe for Grossi Florentino's tiramisu - they use Italian meringue to hold it together - only via PM
