I didn't do these last year.  I simply used the commercial fruit mince that used to have a "golly" on the jar & the almond pastry from the EDC.  This year I had to make them for a Cooking Class (ie pre-make & take along).  They are scrumdiddlyumptious.  The recipe we've been given also includes marzipan stars to top the mince tarts off with.  Now I loathe marzipan but these are yummy.

Well worth fiddling around with but - be warned - once your friends taste them who don't own a TM you'll have orders for them coming from everywhere!!!

No tweaks required.
5 out of 5!

I agree Jane, I made these for cooking class too and I also loathe marzipan - well not this one. These get a 5/5 vote from me as well  ;D

I made these last year and they were very popular. Thanks for reminding me.

Ooooohhhh these are so good! I hate marzipan, love this recipe! Hate fruit mince, love this one! I made these and they lasted all of 5 minutes on our Chritmas table. YUM!

I have some left over pastry, mix and marzipan in the fridge waiting for me to finish them off - better get to it instead of wasting them. As I am the only one that eats them I guess I will be WAISTING them   :D :D They are after all soooooo nice I can't just throw it out  :-))
