Chookie, I made Izi's fruit crumble cake today which would be perfect for plums if that interests you, was very nice.

This morning I made the 'Turmeric Wellness Shot' off cookidoo which uses fresh turmeric, ginger, lemon etc, which is supposed to help our immune systems.
We both had the recommended amount and there is quite a bit left over which is good as it keeps for 5 days in the fridge.  We'll have a shot each day until it's gone.  Certainly doesn't taste bad.

Not a thrilling photo by any means but it does show the lovely colour made by the turmeric.  :)

I bought a packet of frozen onions the other day Marina, there wasn’t much else in the freezer at IGA so for the little I use these days I thought it a good idea.  Years ago I bought a huge quantity of onions and froze them and it definitely does work for cooking.

That drinks sounds really good Julie, a bonus that it tastes OK too.

I made a batch of Cauliflower patties today from a recipe called hash browns.  Most people had trouble with them falling apart whilst trying to turn them so as I had some steamed cauli rice in the fridge I decided to use that instead of raw cauli rice and I added a tablespoon of psyllium husks as well as all the other ingredients in the recipe.  It worked a treat.

Well done Judy. Your wellness drink is certainly yellow JulieO.

No cooking here today, I did the ironing instead.

Well done Judy.
Julie, all those ingredients are very healthy.  It should do as stated.
Made some Peel for the Hot X Buns so might make some more buns today. Will make 15 instead of 12 as they were a bit large.  Will make 2 lots as I give most away. Reheat well in microwave and lovely toasted next day. Definitely no choc chips.

I made these today but I made 34 out of my batch using a teaspoon measure so I don’t know how they only made 15.  I wanted a crisp biscuit and I succeeded by leaving them in the turned off oven until they cooled.  Because of the number I made they have only .4g of carbs per biscuit. Because their figures of cups with grams given as well didn’t seem correct to me I just used the cup measurement.  They are not as dark as they look in the photo.  I’ve eaten 5 today, my first biscuits since early November so I think I can afford to.
This is the first batch, I flattened the second batch thinking it would make them crispier but they were both as crisp as each other.

Well done Judy.
I prepared some rye SD to pop into the fridge overnight.
I made fruit crumble using pears, apples, frozen cherries, a few blueberries and plums tonight. I only put crumble on the top. No sugar in the fruit and minimal in the crumble. It was delicious.

Interesting recipe Judy.  Too high in calories and animal fat for me.
Cookie, like the sound of that crumble.
Cottage pie from leftover roast lamb.  Will add veggies to mix.
Bottling peaches.  Feel like a squirrel putting stuff away for winter or hibernation.

Keto recipes usually are Chookie, I have cut down the amount of fat in some recipes though as I got closer to my goal.

Today I’ve made this recipe https://www.thermofoodieandthechef.com/recipe/immune-boosting-soup/ and had a bowl for lunch.  I used thighs with the bone in and added some zucchini just because I had it.  To be able to make this recipe, I used frozen broccoli, frozen celery and some freshly frozen spinach I put down last week. In lieu of shiitake I used dried porcini. The only things I bought were 2 bottles of bone broth which were in the reduced trolley as I walked into the shop, I’ve never bought it before as it’s pretty expensive but with a month’s use by date and only $3 for 500g bottles I thought it was worth getting.  Hence the reason for making this soup as well. I’ve packaged up another 6 meals so I managed to get 1 bonus serve out of my batch.  My colour is darker than hers but the taste is wonderful.

Well done Judy.
I made 4 individual cottage pies out of the leftover roast lamb and gravy.
Everyone is going  crazy over a recipe for cooking bread in the SC. What a joke.  We were doing this 5 years ago.
Made RAL the Tahini biscuits. Made 22.

I made a Classic loaf today and some rolls for our dinner of hamburgers tonight. Yesterday I made a very easy Date and Walnut Slice.

Good time for some stress relief cooking. Love the variety listed above.
CC, thinking of you.  Glad you are slowly going into warmer weather.
Last night I made sweet and Sour pork with brown rice cooked in TMX. Also made an unusual Bread and butter pud.  Just slices of white bread, buttered and equal parts of jam and water poured over to soak the bread.  Baked in oven.  Served with cream. Different but ok.
