right that's it....I'm so making this tonight!!  We've had stinking hot weather all week here in Adelaide and I'm over salads n toasted sanwiches.  I'm on my own at the mo, hubby does FIFO.  I read someone made pies out of the leftovers, great idea!  Love reading the reviews : )

I'm just trying this out now, mine is in the oven and oozing over the edges of the tin wish I read the comments below all the way to the bottom  - Doh! I also left out the dates...hope they weren't a must?

Success!  I brought it into work today for morning tea and it went down a treat, even had a few people ask for the recipe, I'm going to give this ago again tonight but with the dates, be interesting to see how much of a difference they make.  Today at work I forgot you were supposed to add dates so thought it wasn't very sweet although with a spread of butter it tasted lovely.  I'll bring this other loaf in with me tomorrow and will see what the verdict is

I've also just made the date and lime cake in the thermo too....my husband is away (3 weeks now) and I'm sooo bored hence the baking.  The peeps at work are getting it good though and are appreciating my baking!

I'm trying to find a recipe for Chili flavoured Olive Oil, does anyone have one?   Having a girlie pizza nite soon and would really like to make my own, I normally get mine from a farmers market in Subiaco W.A  (tastes great)  but keep running out (husband uses it like there's no tomorrow) 

btw I love this site, thanks for sharing your recipes...I hop on when I need inspiration and always find something tasty to make
