I have done that a couple of times Chookie. Usually cinnamon and nutmeg.

Cookie,  I keep a small container of the French Four spice mix,  ground in TMX.  I add a couple of pinches to lots of dishes.

I've got neither walnut or macadamia oil in my pantry Chookie, could I use sunflower oil?

Judy, the walnut oil is also lovely in white or grain bread.
Also make a nice salad dressing.
I have a delicious recipe for a small  loaf which uses walnut oil. I have only made it once as Ral and I ate the whole loaf for afternoon tea.  Maybe time to make it again. ,!

It must be wonderful then Chookie. My Walnut Oil gets tossed in here and there too. So much so that when I make your Fruit Loaf I always need to check that I have enough left.

MEP,  the recipes on my Blog are the ones I want to keep. The Blog was set up as a way to store mostly TMX recipes.

I think we are both following The Woks of Life Chookie. Have you made their Inside Out Hong Kong-style Coconut a Buns? It's divine. One of my favorites. The milk bread dough is so soft and tender.
