A visit to the podiatrist this morning.

A big day for your DS KAtie. I would think it’s very normal to be teary.
Hot here again. I managed to do the ironing and then nothing this afternoon.

Yes KAtie, you will miss DS  but for him it is all part of growing up.
Yesterday GS came for Dinner. He loved the Spring rolls. Good way to get veggies into him. I like the Spring Roll Wrappers better than the rice paper sheets for frying.
Another attempt at cleaning out stuff. I was struggling to shift one 25 K bag of potting mix, GS shifted 3 bags in one go!

Chookie, GC can be very handy at times when you need a bit of muscle.

We each had a bone density scan this morning.  What a drama, something that should have been easy took nearly 2 hours.

I discovered why I have been limping for the past 2 months - I have a fractured bone in my ankle!  No idea how I got it.  I have bone density scans regularly and whilst my bones are not as strong as they were last century :o they are not indicating osteoporosis at this time.

Wow, 2 hours Margaret!

Marina that must have been a shock to find out, like Chookie I’d love to know how it’s going to be fixed.

I’ve just collected my new hearing aids after trialling that model for the past 2 weeks.

Thanks for your concern re. my ankle.  I discussed this with my GP yesterday and the xray / ultrasound tests show I also ruptured a ligament.  I am now sorting out a foot and ankle specialist to assess my options.

I realised just after I left my GP that I recalled how it happened.  When we were on holiday in Rarotonga in September last year, I slipped on a c. 2" step and fell over (within 1 hour of settling into our accommodation so I wasn't familiar with the layout).  My knees and elbows were really sore and badly bruised, but I didn't notice anything wrong with my ankle. I do recall limping a bit, but didn't think anything of it.  Now I know why.

Honestly, I am truly an accident waiting to happen - something always seems to go wrong with me when we are about to go away or when we are away.  I should wrap myself in cotton wool!!!

Hopefully they can do something for you Marina, it sounds painful. I’m glad the delayed memory kicked in so you at least know how it happened.

It’s been a big week , DS leaving to go to O week for uni ! Shearing and yesterday a huge fire north east of us . Thankfully not near us . Our wool classer had to leave at lunchtime due to fire approaching their property, our rousie didn’t come today as there are very close to fires . So two people down today ( I have even been pressing wool ) cooked lunch . Yesterday was so so hot . I must have left the car going or something 3 hours later I went to car it was super hot and it sounded like the aircon was going , but I couldn’t turn anything off ( the car was not going as such ) the rear lights were on ! Completely flat battery . Car assist came ! Jump started and I had to leave it going for two hours . It is ok but a few issues that will not work all because I had flat battery. Thank full that it’s at this point and is going . DH has been the wool classer and and presser , ( 2wool pressers ) skirts the wool etc . And the shearer’s thought today was a good day to ramp up their sheep numbers! Oh I even managed to catch the BBQ on fire !!

There’s too much ‘excitement’ in your life KAtie.

Marina take care.
This morning DH went to start his car and the battery was dead. Lucky he was planning on using the old car to go to a Nasho Fair Go lunch. I went to a funeral of a lovely lady from car club, she had dementia and it came on quickly. She was only 68.  😢😢 A friend rang and asked if I would like to go with him. It was very convenient.

K Atie, working in this hot weather is difficult, especially with the fires.
Cookie, that is sad. So young.
We have had a lot of smoke and black ash falling on Ballarat. Several people I know have been evacuated.
Yesterday I moved some of the furniture around in the sitting area upstairs. Think it’s better.

Chookie , heard many embers falling in Ballarat including pieces of wood . So glad it was colder yesterday. Enjoy changing things around Chookie .
