:D :D :D :D :D Ha ha, I think we all know where youre coming from there! My problem is I spend more time reading about it on this forum than I do using it!!!!!!! (coz its just so darn quick  ;D)

Wow, those photos are great!
As for the dishwasher, we got it 2nd hand and didn't pay much for it. That being said it is now dead.

Yeah, that island is where I do everything. You can fit a fair bit on it at once. Handy, coz the other little benches are always full of appliances (or dishes!  :-)))

Ok, well, here goes....this is my kitchen (if it works) I'm not really a huge fan of the kitchen, it just fells badly set out, and i always seem to run out of bench space (I'm a VERY  messy cook  ;D ) Its a rental house so I cant do much about it. At least its clean in the photos LOL  ;D

My son made these last week, I found they stayed very soft, crumbled VERY easily, and just weren't that yum  :( We will go back to my old pre-thermie recipe, and try to convert it I think  :-))

Well, my forum name is quite un-original.... my name is Kellie, and when I was little I always wanted wanted people to call me Red (instead they called me Carrot-top, Ginger Meggs and anything else that would annoy me!) The odd thing is that my hair has never been that red, more a strawberry blonde, and even that has faded now  :(  Still, if I need an internet name I always seem to go back to Red Kell  ???
I'm not a fan of my kitchen, its a rental, so I cant really do anything to it. It always feels messy (I am a VERY messy cook  :o) I'll put some photos up after I next clean it......might be a while  ;) ;)

Chit Chat / Re: Home made pasta for lasagna
« on: October 09, 2011, 02:29:30 pm »
Hi JD, no cooking, just made sure the sauce still had a bit of juice still in it, and covered the pasta completly. I think it would be really easy to do once your new pasta maker arrives  ;D

Well, the verdict was....YUM!  ;D
I will definitely need to get a pasta roller tho, as it was quite hard to roll by hand, and still a bit too thick. Very tasty tho, so much better than packet pasta :P

Wow, pasta is harder to roll by hand then I would have thought (or maybe it's my tiny rolling pin!).  Well it's all done and cooked, will be eating it later on in the week, so still don't know how it's gonna taste. Fingers crossed :) thanks for all the advice again :D

Hi all, I am trying my hand at making pasta for the first time today. I want to use it for lasagna. I suddenly realized I don't know if I can whack it in the lasagna raw, or do I have to cook it first?  :-))  If I need to pre cook..how?  So far out of my comfort zone!! :o

Recipe Requests / sweet bread for finger buns?
« on: October 01, 2011, 05:45:30 am »
Hi all  :)
I was wondering if anyone knows of a recipe that would be good to make bakers delight style finger bun, with the icing etc on top? My kids are huge fans, and I thought it would be a good treat for the holidays. Any ideas?  ???

I don't think it looks bad at all. The one I made for my sons birthday last year was WAY worse, and I still served it up to the whole party  :-)) Nobody really care as long as it tastes yum  ;)
