I went out for lunch (grilled barramundi & salad only) so I’ve had grilled cheese toast plus a low carb ice-cream.

We are having crayfish, salad and fresh bread. I haven't had crayfish for a very, very long time. DH helped a former pupil buy a Model A last week and has given him some help. This lovely man goes diving for crays and gave us some. They are looking so very appetising and lovely and fresh. I think they were only caught yesterday.
May all dairy items in your fridge be of questionable vintage.

I haven't had lobster for many years either Cookie, I bet it will be wonderful! :D

I had the last of the Skinnymixer's chicken & sweet corn soup last night, just what I felt like.  Will be making more in the next couple of days as I really enjoyed it and it's nice to have as a standby.

Making a recipe from the UK Cookidoo today for DH (made the filling yesterday) and will finish it off today.  :)

Cookie, what a meal!! Love Cray Fish.   $100 a kilo in Vic Market.  So that makes it really $200 a kilo when you allow for the shell.
Cooked a new Neil Perry recipe last night.  Simple marinade for chicken thighs to be grilled.  It was fab.  Will post recipe.  Also stuffed Capsicum

The beef pot pies worked out well, the pastry especially was lovely.  Would add a bit more seasoning to the beef filling.

I jazzed it up a bit as in I made it into;  1 pot pie with the pastry top, 1 pie made in a pie tin, pastry top and bottom and finally 4 pie maker pies (the larger Sunbeam ones), using the pastry for the bases and puff for the tops.
My preference going on looks alone was using the pie tins.  :)

They look gorgeous Julie and the filling looks so tasty. You certainly go to a lot of trouble with your recipe testing. I love home made pies a little too much I’m afraid which is probably why I am now dieting!

Thank you girls, I enjoyed making them  :D 
I had a free day as I've been busy the last few so it was nice to spend time on them.

Judy I agree regarding pies.  Shop bought don't come close to home made.  I usually use my pie maker when using left overs and that is great for DH to take to work where they have a pie warmer in their crib room.  He can take a frozen one (pre-cooked) and by the time it's lunch time they have defrosted and re-heated really well, but I like the more rustic look of individual pie tin pies especially when served with veg etc as a main.  :D

Not a great pie fan myself but Ral loves them.   But I do love a Cornish Pasty.
Last night I made pizzas, to try in the BBQ.  I used a new Le Creuset pizza tray.  It was not as good a those cooked in the Electric Pizza Machine.  The base was cooked too much and the top and edges not enough. 
However the Weber people recommend a Pizza stone so next time I will try this.  I will keep the Le Creuset dish for the oven or maybe give it away.

Thanks Chookie.  I agree about the pizza maker.  I've had mine for many years now and get it out whenever I'm making pizzas, it's the best way to cook them and so quick.

I was having a clear out when the new kitchen was installed and mine went in the bin!  The stone slab in it was too stained to give it away and to make a pizza for 1 my a/f does the job nicely.
