With the new incentive, I'm probably not the only one considering this. Do I really need a second bowl? Any thoughts from those who have the second one? Or should I wait for the second machine incentive :o
-
I don't use mine very often as with careful planning there are not that many times that you really need a second bowl.
If you kow someone who is likely to buy then half price is good though.
-
I would probably get a second one if I could, but that's only because I like to put it into the dishwasher- which takes too long to finish!
-
I love my second bowl. I often cook using both, like now. I have Isi's bread rising in one and Maddy's soup in the second one. Yesterday when we made 4 dozen HXB's the 2 worked well. You can organize it so that the first thing goes into the thermoserver, but being lazy this saves a lot of effort.
-
I think I can manage without one although if someone offered me one for free, I'd certainly accept it :D :D 2 TMX's - now that is something I could do with. When they bring out a new model I might buy one and keep my old one - then again I might be too old to bother cooking by then :P :P
-
I've got 2 bowl and blade sets and absolutly LOVE having both!! You can survive with one, but 2 make it much easier. In January I qualified for another bowl and blade set for free as a consultant so have just given that to Mum as a thanks for having DD when I do the demos ;)
-
I'm pretty sure I could get one half price as my sister has 98% decided to buy. Just a lot of money to make dishwashing easier.
-
I was advised to buy a second bowl when I got my machine as it was discounted if you did so. I am really glad I did - it isn't essential at all but does make life easier.
-
I have the second set as well and couldn't live with out it now even though it isn't necessary!
-
Well techinically I have three ;) ;D :-)) But I only use two. I got a second free as an incentive for sales in my first sixty days, then bought a third one when I had the opportunity to buy one half price in Jan with the consultant incentive for 4 sales. LOVE LOVE LOVE having the second bowl. But you don't 'need' one 8) If you have the chance to get one at half price though I would snap it up!!
-
So what is the official deal?
-
The host promotion for April. This is only the second time in three years that the opportunity to purchase a second bowl and blade set has been offered as a host incentive. As long as you have a minimum of two guests from different households at your demo, the host has the opportunity to purchase a second bowl and blade set for your machine at $100 off ($295) or if a guest purchases from your demo at half price $195. You would also be elligible for other incentives like the varoma book if you have a varoma demo etc ;D
-
That sounds like a good deal. Too bad I'll be in Perth for most of April as I'd love a second bowl. Especially when I want to rise my bread doughs in the TMX bowl because it isn't warm enough to do it elsewhere - like today. There have been quite a few times that I have said to my DH that I could do with a second bowl and blade set.
-
Roxy you could always ask a friend to hold a demo in Perth with you as the host and then buy it as long as a consultant would be happy to use their machine...... Just a thought ;) I would be happy to do the demo for you depending on the location. PM me if you want :)
-
I always thought I could manage without a second bowl, until mine was dropped on the spout. It really mucked things up without much obvious damage. The bowl was out of shape-but thankfully all is well now. I will be seriously thinking about it.
-
Thanks Meagan, when I mentioned it to DH, he said that he could have a demo here while I'm away as he hasn't seen the machine demo-ed. But then he said, the pennies are a bit tight at the moment so don't know if it will be a go-er. Rats. May have to wait till next time they offer it, and that could be quite a while away by the sound of things.
-
No worries Roxy if your DH has a demo that would be good for him to see it and then you are ellidgible to purchase one at $100 off. Your consultant can order you one up till the 4th of May (I think) if that helps at all.
-
I did as Katya did - I bought a second bowl at the time of purchase because of a discount incentive. I'm so glad I did I have never regretted it for one moment. All too often I prepare/cook using both bowls - I would really miss my extra bowl. ;D
-
I'm having a demo at the end of April, so will seriously consider the second bowl. Hopefully, someone will purchase and it won't cost me quite as much!
-
I think I'm definitely going to get one. At the moment I have Jo's Blender Batter Muffins soaking in my bowl, so this would be a great opportunity to use a second bowl, especially as I want to do more soaking type recipes.

Does this mean if I have my delivery demo mid month I have up until the 4th of May to decide if I need the extra bowl? Or do I have to order it at the demo.

Yes :) Your consultant can order it for you, up to the 7th of May actually (I checked the paperwork a moment ago) However I wouldn't leave it till the very last moment! Just tell your consultant you would like to think about it ;)

Second bowl arrived today, and has been used twice already. I think I'm in heaven!
-
I love my second bowl. It was a Xmas present I make a lot of bread, ;D, and raise the dough more often than not ,in the bowl. I also find that I can be washing out one bowl while the next thing is cooking. I could manage without it, but I am glad that I don't have to.
-
I decided I didn't really need it. If it was free, yes. But not at only $100 off. I've only occasionally needed my bowl when it's being used, so told my consultant I would rather have My Way of Cooking recipe book.
-
I ordered a second bowl.
Extremely handy to have me thinks ;)

ILB says it all. I wouldn't be without my 2nd bowl, I use it all the time and love having it. But it's completely possible to survive without, especially (as Thermomixer says) you plan carefully. But I'm not that great at planning carefully ;D
-
Once you have the second bowl you will find lots of things to do with it. I got mine for free - just bombarded Tenina with recipes for the Vego & Meat books.
-
I have used both bowls, everyday now since I purchased the "spare". So glad I bit the bullet ;)
-
Me too Maddy. Well almost everyday. Really happy with that investment.
-
Did get my second bowl thanks to my "nameless sister" and had loads of fun with it yesterday. A friend came over and we cooked up a storm. So handy to have the second bowl as we were able to just take one off and get the next one on and cooking and made heaps of things. We're getting together again on Thursday for another go. A lot of what we made, we did in bulk and halved. Handy way to fill the fridge and cupboards.
-
Sisters are handy that way - that's how I got mine too.
-
I want a sister..................................and a second bowl. I think I will get one fairly soon.
-
cookie1 - You & I both have that sister - lil' Ms Nobody ;) ;) ;) - now you just needed a demo
-
My second bowl arrived yesterday just in time for making lasagne for tea. Was able to make the meat sauce in one bowl and then when that had finished, put the new bowl on to grate the parmesan, then make the bechamel sauce. Very handy. :D
-
Some times I wish I had a THIRD bowl ;D ;D ;D
-
:D
-
I can understand that Chookie with all the things you make. ;) ;)
-
Some times I wish I had a THIRD bowl ;D ;D ;D
Sometimes I wish I had a third bowl too - but more importantly I wish I had a second TMX :o :o :o :o :o :o ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I have contemplated buying a TM21 as a second machine.
-
This machine sure does hook us in. How did we ever manage before we had one. For me I know I almost never made things that needed stirring and so much other stuff I can now make with ease.
-
I was only wondering the other day if there are people out there with two TMX machines. That would be awesome. :D
-
My idea, depending on my circumstances at the time, is to get the new model when it is released (don't know how many years down the track that will be), and keep this one. If we all do that, there will be lots of TMX x 2 owners.
-
CTG, we have two in our kitchen. DD22 has one and I have one, and it is like duelling TMXs sometimes. It is very handy and I missed the other machine when she went to a friends place for a few days :'(
-
I dream of the things I could do with two machines (and loudly proclaim to all and sundry in the house lol) I like your thinking JD (as long as my kids aren't angling for the old one!!!)
-
Imagine the noise you could make with two TMX's. If the kids were fighting you could mill some flour in one machine and make a sorbet in the other and completely drown them out . . . . Bliss!!! ;)
-
HEAVEN Chelsea!! Prefer to listen to my TMX than kids fighting any day ;) ;) ;)
