Any news DD? If your DW isn't going, there's still a place open!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

CP sorry I forgot to reply, too busy doing nothing.

I will do my very best to have myself and passengers at Knee Deep by midday or very soon thereafter. Especially if you let me know exactly where it is in relation to Dunsborough. :) :)

Hey MJ. DW just found out today that she has to go on the school camp. The teacher that was going can't now due to illness. They leave on either the Sunday or the Monday of the retreat weekend.

I am disappointed. I think that she would have enjoyed herself. Also it means that we will end up being apart for at least 2 weeks.

Oh what a shame, Dan! That's pretty rough that she'll be away for so long. I'll put up a new post here in case people aren't following this one.

Gert and Obbie, I would have loved to have come on the retreat with all of you as I love Margaret River but we are off to Phuket for ten days on August 22nd. Hope you all have a great time and enjoy the food and wine. We go down there often when we have a free weekend. Knee Deep is good and has won a few awards in the last couple of years. Sorry I will miss it but with so any of you there it will be a blast!!! ;D
Have a glass for me please :-))

How many salads do we need per bbq? Any suggestions/links to recipes so I can work out the shopping list?

Is anyone able to bring a dessert?

Let's keep it simple and easy I say.

Good old fashioned BBQ salads CP, potato, coleslaw, beetroot maybe, some boiled eggs and yummy bread are my suggestions but I am easily pleased and will enjoy anything that is made available.

And Gert is right, simple and easy will be good :D

that sounds great Meagan - is it a dessert?

now another question to run past - easier for each house to make a salad and bring along to the bbq, or assemble at the bbq? For sake of being easy, it would be the same salad both nights.
