I thought your symptoms sounded familiar cookie, glad to hear things are much better today.

More gardening. Best day for weather as next week cold again with some rain. Made a Silverbeet and cheese tart for DD for lunch for a trading session for kayaking.  It was cancelled with 2 hours for them to pack up. She collected the tart and will eat it herself.

We are in lockdown for a least  2 week.  Don’t  feel like we have been really out of it for 18 months. This time I will try ordering online only a minimal amount and eat out of freezer and garden. I’ve got silverbeet, kale, onions, fennel, parsley, lettuce , mustard greens, eggs  and lemons. Plenty of bottled apples and bread flour. Pantry well stocked and freezers full. Only food we need on a weekly basis is fresh milk and bananas. We are so lucky that we have space  and are not stuck in a flat with nothing to do.

So true Chookie. Lockdowns are a good opportunity to reduce freezer and pantry stocks, having a veggie garden is an added bonus. We need to get  in and out of shops quickly for essential items only and it doesn’t take long to fill the freezers again once we get our freedom back.

We had a car run today. We took the back roads and ended up in Pinjarra at a museum. It was a lovely drive.

Our meeting. There was a cold wind blowing and most of us were trying to stay warm.

Amazingly beautiful day . DS ended up mowing this evening, thankfully as snakes are about and the grass was very long .

Ouch, that is cold Chookie.
Today I caught up on a lot of jobs that were neglected last week. All boring ones.

I did the laundry this morning and then helped DH chop off some overhanging branches from next door.

I had a lovely day with a friend today, we went to a pasta restaurant for lunch then onto a huge plant and pot place looking for certain shaped pots she wanted. You can’t go to a place like this and not buy something, she found the pots she wanted and I bought 6 bags of potting mix and a couple of succulent plants. Back here for Lattes and more talking for another hour and a half before she set off for home just before dark descended. A nice sunny day helped make a perfect day.

Very nice way to spend a day , Judy.
Very cold here. Potted up some more seedlings
I’m thinking of postponing my Cataract op. Have to have a COVID test prior to op.  Don’t want to go anywhere near where someone may have the bug. Will speak with the Specialist tomorrow.

That sounds rather wise to me Chookie. I did my grocery shopping and then slept for most of the afternoon. 😀😀

Our local Coles was listed as a Tier 2 site earlier this week so DH and I duly wandered down to the walk in testing centre early the next morning and both got negative results back.  In the interim we isolated strictly for a day and it was really strange not leaving the building for any reason.  Happily, back to normal now, not necessarily leaving the building unnecessarily, but knowing we could leave if we need to ... not even for coffee, milk, etc!

I’ve postponed my Cataract op for next Wednesday. Don’t want to go to COVID testing Center prior to op, and also not to op day Center.
