Hello,
I'm obsessed with cookie dough ice-cream, does anyone have a recipe for the thermomix?
Thanks,
Charde

I have never heard of it before. But sounds interesting.

I don't know if this is helpful but I remember reading it somewhere. You make your cookie dough, keep half aside and use the other half to make the cookies as normal. Partially freeze the half kept aside. Freeze it in smallish pieces. Then smash it up in the TMX and add it to your ice cream just before you freeze it.(so that it doesn't thaw). I'm not sure if this at all helpful but I think it would work.

Great idea I'm going to try it.
Kind regards,
Charde

Let us know how it goes. I think i'll give a go too. I think I'll make choc chip cookies to put in it. (have to finish the peanut butter icecream first)

Funnily enough I was looking to make cookie dough ice cream this week. I was going to make this (http://www.masterchef.com.au/chocolatechip-cookie-dough-ice-cream.htm) one from Masterchef but haven't converted it yet. Let us know how you go if you make it.
@ Cookie - Was the peanut butter ice cream recipe on the forum?
-
Yes it is here. (http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=5421.0)
It's delicious and doesn't set too hard. Easy to make too.

The conversion for the cookie dough icecream is going to need to take a step back now while I try this one. Don't know how I missed it as it sounds really yum. Great that it doesn't set really hard as that's how I prefer my icecream. Thanks for the link. :-* :-*

Does this mean you are eating raw frozen cookie dough? Does sound interesting.
-
Yes!!! How great is that. It's not really rock hard though. I love the taste of most cookie doughs - cake batters too for that matter.

Give this a try :)

I always test the raw dough, several times. In fact if it's a fruit cake I test it many, many times.
-
I can see we are going to have to do some serious taste testing cookie. Wouldn't like to post any converted recipes unless it has been thoroughly considered. ;D ;D

Ohhhh thanks for the tips guys. Has anyone tried it yet? I haven't?
Thanks,
Charde

Only really have time for this sort of thing on weekends so I haven't yet.

My next icecream is going to have to be baked quince as I have so many of them.
-
Cookie did you see the quince recipe on Amanda's blog this week - I've never done anything with quinces but this (http://www.lambsearsandhoney.com/) recipe makes me want to.
-
This is similar to how I baked the quinces although I used marsala. The taste is truly amazing. We couldn't eat them all so I pureed them and added a cup of cream, they were still a tiny bit sweet so I added a couple of 'globs' of natural yoghurt. They have just come out of the icecream machine and the taste is extraordinary. Will post a photo.
