I only tried it once and when I fell I sat on one of the wheels blades - that was enough for me.  Hope CP managed to stay upright, did you skate too Hally?

Do ice skates have wheels as well as blades?

I love ice skating.  It takes me back to my youth. I hope CP enjoyed himself H.

I competed in the City of Armadale Triathlon this morning.  The swim in Champion Lake was not the most pleasant swim I have had in a while.

Cp really enjoyed it. It was good they had a basic lesson before the party for 30 mins.  Then went all out in the ice. I was going to go on but none of the other mums wanted to try, so I didnt. Actually I was the only mum out by the ring watching & cheering, the others sat & had coffee. I enjoyed watching & cheering the kids. A few times I pancked when cp cell on his back, but he didnt hit his head so he was OK. He astered the art of getting up really well.

He now wants to go regularly :)

DD if I had known you could have come to the rink :)

I ice skated for years from when I was 6 years old until I married. :)
Loved it and did comps  but haven't done it since my kids were young..
My DD's were both different. One was seriously into netball and the other basketball and gymnastics. Neither liked ice skating  :(

Glad CP had fun Hally ;D

Did you do well Den? Why was the swim not pleasant?

Oh the thought of swimming is just brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
Very cold wind today. Awaiting snow.

Went two hours to check my pony, trying to agree to sell now.
Sad but true.
Saw some old friends.
A bittersweet day.

Sad you have to let your pony go DJ. :'(

I was silly enough to give my DH a gift certificate for a tandem hang gliding ride for our anniversary (something he wants to do) so this afternoon will be watching or trembling with my eyes closed as DH goes hang gliding off the cliffs at Newcastle.  :-\
