after making VSC, i like to either make soup or bread so as not to waste the residual concentrate; don't add any salt to the soup or bread. in the case of the VSC sticking to the bottom of the bowl, i'd make soup and see if it loosens the stuff on the bottom.

i tend to use only vegetables which are aromatic, so the zuchinni in the edc recipe didn't do it for me. i do love using up all the herbs in the garden - nice strong aromas and flavour.

if only official stuff is allowed, why are there so many consultants advertising themselves? i'm not talking about the ones who say they are consultants, but the ones who say "ring/email me for a demonstration". it's nice to know who the consultants are, but are the ones who advertise themselves allowed to do that. not mentioning any names, but there was a consultant who used to frequent this forum who had a website who did that.

in the mix is totally different to all the other tm books i have - it really shows off what the tm can do.

work through the edc first. after that you should be able to convert a few of your favourites, so only get cookbooks if you are a die hard (like me). in the mix has some recipes which takes using the tm to a higher level.

don't think it will work - you need to the syrup to hard crack to make honeycomb, and the tm only goes to 114, which isn't even soft ball (115)

the issues i've had with my tm have been cleared up very quickly by HO even though i have to get in touch with my consultant first. omg, they are long winded - if you get intouch with HO directly, they contact the consultant to tell them to contact you, then the consultant contacts HO who then contact you!!! this is customer service, and i think it's pretty good.
on the other hand, my friend's sister, who used to be a consultant in victoria, wasn't happy with the way the company treats consultants. that's probably the difference - if you are a customer, you get really good customer care, but if you're a consultant, they work you really hard. that's the point of difference.

i had a look around for insulated bowls a la thermoservers, but i've decided that the thermomserver still looks the best, so i have no regrets about holding demos to collect them - they're half price when you hold a demo and at $30, i think they're pretty good value. have to say those 1 litre thermoservers are as rare as hens' teeth though - i've only managed to get one.

i always pour some water into my bowl if i don't have time to wash my bowl straight away to prevent the food from drying and making cleaning impossible and haven't had any problems, touch wood.

my friend's MIL was so anti tm when she first saw it, but now, down the track, she's getting one. she loves cooking and has every gadget imaginable, and that was why she didn't want a tm. however, she was borrowing my friend's tm all the time and realised she wanted one, too - it obviously did more than the gadgets she had in her kitchen. these things happen, and sometimes, people have to eat their words. i'm glad she's getting a tm - she'll love it.

have you got the festive flavour cookbook? i like the red and green shortbread recipe from there. looking at what you're doing, it sounds great, but the most important thing is to keep it simple. good luck.
