I have to follow a low residue diet for a couple of weeks when I get home. Does anyone have any brilliant ideas please? It means no fruit and veggies, no seeds or nuts. Potato only, steamed rice, steamed chicken and steamed fish. White bread only. Skim milk only. Eggs are ok too I think.
I think I will be hanging out for fruit and veggies after it.
I thought I could make rice pudding and that can be my sweets. Low fat natural yoghurt is permitted.
I just thought someone may know some little secrets to help.

Have a read of this (http://www.webmd.com/ibd-crohns-disease/low-residue-diet-foods) Cookie, there's a suggested menu plan towards the end of it.

That is not such a bad diet . Not as strict as you might think.

My DD has Crohn's Disease with a large part of her transverse colon having been removed. She eats a low residue diet as best she can and unless you have been told no fruit of veggies because the doctor thinks you are too stupid to figure it out then the above guidelines will suit.We are not all idiots who can't follow directions by some medico who does not take the time to inform his patients of real reasons for the restrictions of certain foods for certain tests. Give me strength!
I have had plenty of experience with colonoscopies , endoscopies and the like and each and every doctor I have ever worked with had a different plan.

Thanks Judy and Gert. I had found the one you linked Judy but not the Gert one. It doesn't look as terrifying as I was thinking. :-))
