Pretty please?   ^^

I've just made some vegetable stock from the recipe Thermomixer posted in September, some herb and garlic butter for the pull apart I'm going to make tomorrow and a sundried tomato and garlic dip.  Then I had better do some almond pastry for the fruit mince tarts (to use up the left over fruit mince) and then short pastry for the base of tonights quiche.

Think I finally worked out my recipe for US style rice pudding.  This is probably sweeter than you guys are used to.... just reduce the sugar a bit :)  You can find the recipe HERE

PIZZA SAUCE

4x 425g cans of tomatoes (diced)
2 cloves garlic (diced)
2 tablespoons brown sugar

Chop garlic for 10 secs on speed 7
Place all other ingredients into TM bowl and cook Veroma for 20 mins on speed 1

I place small batches into freezerbags to use when needed

That looks lovely Trudy. Might try it for our usual Saturday night pizzas. Think I may add some basil as mine has gone mad-I think it must like 40 degree heat.

Last night I minced bread into crumbs and grated parmesan for this -

Warm White Bean Salad
1/2 tsp coarse salt
5 cloves garlic
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 tbsp chopped fresh rosemary
2 tins white beans, drained

3 tbsp toasted bread crumbs
3 tbsp grated parmesan

Roughly crush garlic then chop with the salt.
Put oil in cold pan, add garlic, place over heat and slowly braise over a very low heat until translucent - do not brown.
Add rosemary and continue to cook over low heat for another minute or 2.
Add beans and heat through, turning very gently so as not to break beans up, for about 3 minutes.
Place in bowl and top with crumbs and parmesan.
Serve warm or room temperature.

I have modified this from a recipe in "The Splendid Table's How to Eat Supper" and made it for the first time yesterday (I got the book yesterday).  It is a seriously divine way to eat beans and the kids loved it, too.  The original recipe added greens at the end, which would make it a meal in itself.
I intend to eat this regularly for the rest of my life!! :o

I have just popped Alina's brownies in the oven for the kids to take to the movies this evening.
Will also be making another batch of cordial later on.
