Have fun Amanda. Let us know what you go on in the theme parks.

I am having serious withdrawal symptoms as I really haven't used the TMX very much this last week. We seem to have been run off our feet. I plan to make strawberry jam, torta caprese and the vegetable quiche this afternoon. That may help the withdrawal symptoms. :P

Thanks.  Mine has suffered through the wet, cold winter but now that we have sunshine it has lovely new leaves coming. I seem to have to pull the flowers out quite a lot during the growing season, but I guess that is normal.

Introduce Yourself / Re: Counting the days until my Thermomix arrives!!

..........and me jealous. The house we lived in was next to the school in Weld St.  It's no longer there as Lord McAlpine bought it and shifted it as it was an original Broome house. (then read as : very old and full of cockroaches). We had heaps of coconut palms in the school yard and 3 beautiful mango trees in the yard of the house. I really developed a taste for mangoes up there and now we live down here it has become an expensive taste. We used to get some freighted down from ................market garden out of town but the parents have now shifted. Our local greengrocer often has them out by the tray so that's not bad.
Will you be in Broome during the wet Kristie?   How long have you lived up there.

Thanks Judy. As I hang my head in shame I will admit I didn't read that correctly.

Are we using the reviewing section for recipe books only? If so I guess we put these reviews with the forum recipe.
What are everyone's thoughts on this?

I realised that Susanne, that's why I said it would be disastrous. My DH made some meatballs once and there was shell left from the egg and the meatballs were very crunchy, DD ande I refused to eat them. (He didn't have his glasses on)

Welcome Kristie.
Broome is lovely.  You are getting your TMX just in time for the wet season, you will be able to make mango sorbets all the time.
We used to live in Broome in the 1970's, before it was developed. Have friends who taught there for many years too.
We still visit fairly regularly too.

Introduce Yourself / Re: G'day from WA

We're going to be a little bit more of a 'wait a while' now too as we won't be having daylight saving this year.
Just for the record I love WA and all it's scenery and slowness but I also love visiting the rest of Australia. I enjoy razzing 'tother siders' too.

Countrygirl, the weather in Perth, Western Australia is just coming into spring. We've had a few lovely sunny days after many rainy ones. The mornings have been cold but the sun is lovely.  Soon we will be complaing about the heat.
