I haven't got mine as yet, but is due any day. Not sure if it will be a boy or girl as I didn't have an ultra sound. So I will decide on a name when my new TM is delivered. lol.

Hi everyone, I was just wondering what would be the most common Herbs people use with there TM? I am starting a Herb garden and wondering which herbs people use the most. I have Parsley, Thyme, Oregano, Sage and Chives so far. What else would people recommend?
Thanks heaps in advance.

Yes $400-$450 a f/night (not including milk bread etc for the f/night) is alot to spend. My goal is to get this down to around $300 f/night would be great (for 7 people including 2 teenagers and 2 adults). I am really going to analyze what I buy and try to eliminate unnecessary foods and replace lots with my own home made foods. With such a big family the money has to stretch a long way. If I can make a difference with grocery spending that will help a lot.

Thanks guys, I'm feeling much better about my purchase. Now to wait. My consultant said should have my TM by the end of next week which work out great as we are going away for a few days on holiday. I looking forward to making items that we use alot of to save money. Will be interesting to see how my grocery bill changes. I spent around $400-$450 a f/night (not including bread milk and other everyday items) Might take a little while to see the savings. I love this forum as I have found some great recipes and hints and tips.

Well I have just paid for my TM. I figure that I am in control of what goes in my mouth not the TM. So only me to blame if I put on weight. Now I have to wait for TM to arrive (I'm guessing around the 10th Jan)

That is so true, I have 5 children and a Husband as well. It cost me a fortune to buy snacks for school/work. I have always cooked biscuits slices and cakes etc for them anyway. I guess it is really no different to what I already do just easier to do it. I would like to cut down on packaged food and make my own but I am concerned that what I make will  contain more calories than the packaged foods I already buy minus the additives and preservatives.

Hi all, I am a little concerned about buying my thermomix which I need to pay for today. Everyone I know who has a thermomix said the only problem with it is they have put on weight. I definitely don't want to put on weight. Has other people had the same problem. How do I avoid this. does thermomx recipes have more sugar and fat? I wanted to buy the Thermomix for healthier eating and to save some money.
Any comments?

Thanks everyone. The wait is like torture. lol. I am sure I will use the TM heaps as I have a family of 7. We have lots of black berries that we will be picking in a month or so around our area. I'm starting to stock up on Ice and today my sister and I set up a herb garden ready. What else should I stock up on ready?

Hi all, another newbie here. I have just ordered my TM, but will have to wait until after the 4th of Jan before the order will go through. My sister has one and I think they are brilliant. I spent the day at her house yesterday and we were on a mission to convince my husband that we needed one two. and as he loves food I didn't think it would be too hard. lol. Anyway firstly we made butter, the scones with the butter milk. Whipped cream, made peanut butter, relish and then fruity dreams. That was it he wanted one. So I ordered mine today.
I cant wait till mine arrives (What to cook first?????)
