Bought myself a Westinghouse instant boiling water dispenser today, we had one very similar in our Singapore hotel room and I loved it. Then I decided to order a Puratap system to be installed as well.

Big cooking afternoon here. Batch of caramelised onion, caramelised garlic, pumpkin soup, caramelised bananas, cottage cheese mousse, Chookie’s quiche and cauliflower steaks topped with caramelised onion and cheese.

Still cooking up a storm ladies, love seeing what you all come up with. The food in the Celebrity Solstice was pretty good - buffet meals suit us both and breakfast was the best for me, lunchtime I could always find something but dinner was the hardest. Their 2 soups of the day for lunch and dinner were often too spicy for me, I’d never heard of some of the choices they had. Weight stayed the same which is good as I had no Sustagen for the whole 15 nights.

Hi everyone, back from my latest holiday and finally found time to read all these posts. There’s always so much to do after a holiday, the garden was kept alive by a friend but there was still plenty to do out there. We were keeping up with Adelaide temperatures on Sky News in our cabin so knew there had been no rain where I live and temps had often been in the low 30’s.
It was interesting to see what you’d all been doing and cookie, I was thinking exactly what you said about being old crocks 😁. We came home with no ailments at all, a wonderful trip with perfect weather and lots of lazing around the pool or enjoying our private balcony. 6

I was busy tonight and hadn’t had tea when the power went out at 7 ish but luckily I have a rechargeable NutriBullet which was ready to go. A frozen fruit and oats smoothie did the job, wasn’t as powerful as my plug in model but it certainly did the job easily.

Cookie do you mean Helicobacter Pylori, it’s very common and many people test positive to it (me being one) but many more don’t even know they have it until they get symptoms. It will show up in a blood test but test is simple (a breath test) and they give you antibiotics. I also had to have an endoscopy.

Thanks Margaret and Chookie, I live in a small cul-de-sac and although my neighbours aren’t in our pockets we are always there when help is needed.

Thanks Marina, life can be full of surprises - good ones that is.
If you have staff that can take over your job then it was wise to leave them to it. I don’t think I’ve ever walked into a shop and found someone asleep 😁 10

Thanks ladies. I received a surprise this morning from neighbours who insisted I accept $50 for G and me to have a Singapore Sling at Raffles. No amount of arguing could convince them not to be so generous.

You’ve had some unusual problems over the years Marina, things I’ve never heard of such as this sacral nerve. It sounds as if it was simple to remove. Well done on following the exercises you found which helped your other problem.
Yes I’m looking forward to the next trip, life is good. 14

I had a fairly lazy day but this morning had the bandage changed on my pinkie after a deep cut with secateurs late on Wednesday. Another 2 changes this coming week so all should be good before our flight to Singapore / cruise back to Sydney trip the following week.

Sounds nice Chookie. I had pumpkin soup and crumpet croutons for lunch and will have a couple of poached eggs for tea along with some tiramisu leftover from last nights dinner with DF.
