It's a great way to use up leftovers but it's been years since I made it.  When I was a kid, it was always a roast on Sunday and shepherd's pie on Monday nights.
It must have been an universal menu for the weekend, as it was the same in our house. :D

Last night was feta, wrapped in mince and then proscuitto and vegies as I had to rush off to book club and leave the rest to cook and clean up.
Tonight is a stir fry-I think.

Oh Maddy. Does that have chicken and beef in it? I'm going to print it in colour and model my next burger night on yours. :)

LoL......they start a reasonable size, but by the time I keep adding.....we can't wrap our mouths around them!  ;D

I just use lean beef mince, and keep it simple with onion/garlic/egg/fresh breadcrumbs and pepper.
I do use the tupperware hamburger press

.....which makes them perfectly shaped and as thick as you'd like them to be.   I pop the stacks in the freezer for an hour before cooking, and they never break up or split.  Alternatively, make them earlier in the day, and leave in the fridge in the stackable containers.
.........EAT CAKE!

Watched Little River Cottage with Huge Whittingstall last night and liked his idea of vegies topped with cheese sauce then covered in mashed potatoes so that is what we are having today.  Now to work out how I am going to cook the salmon portions to go with it. Surprisingly few recipes in our books.

Found one on the forum which I will try from ozzy-dj - has asian flavours so not quite the thing to have with the vegie dish but it won't bother us.

tessa you have to open up your pic wherever you keep it, Edit it and compress the pic for putting on the web. Only once this is done can you add the photo to your post. Somewhere on this forum it was explained to me...

For anyone wanting to read up on posting photo methods, there are discussions in Mince Meat Curry recipe in Main Meals (exactly where one would expect to find them  ;) ;)). Scroll down & read the information from  both CP63 & Chelsea and you should succeed - I did  ;D ;D   http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?topic=1017.0
