Margaret I’m pleased that your son is home. He has a long rehabilitation ahead of him. I hope he doesn’t find it too hard.

Mab, very hard to clean up that with glass in it. I did something similar recently. Hell of a mess.
Today its going to be hot again and I’m recovering from the small dinner party last night.

Mab glad your DS is home wishing him a speedy recovery.
Back to town for more appointments ! Beautiful weather . After fasting blood test collected DD and a quick trip to Lune . DH had been a day before me and took DD out to dinner ! DD drove DF around to put new Tyers on his car . Meanwhile I had my crown fitted , not great as had a local injection too . Then to blood man and all good so best news . Poor DH found out he torn two tendons on his bicep , cortisone injection ! I went home stop at Wilson’s to replenish the fruit veg and meat ! It has rained today a little so that’s good . But frustration for Grand Prix today with races canceled!

I had a fairly lazy day but this morning had the bandage changed on my pinkie after a deep cut with secateurs late on Wednesday. Another 2 changes this coming week so all should be good before our flight to Singapore / cruise back to Sydney trip the following week.

Looks like it is the time of year when something is happening to us all.  Hope you all recover without any further problems.

Judy, sounds like you have a lovely trip coming up.  I am sure you will enjoy it.

Today I have a procedure to remove a sacral nerve stimulator in my pelvis.  It has been in for c. 17 years and is no longer working - time got the best of it.  At this stage I won't get it replaced, I am pretty sure I will be able to manage without it.

Last week I also had a touch of plantar fasciitis (I know that is the wrong spelling, but my auto correct offers some very interesting options, all of which are worse than my effort).  I had it 2 years ago and the pain was awful and I couldn't fix it so I wasn't very happy to know I had it again.  Anyway, I managed to find some exercises that looked helpful so I tried one and got immediate relief.  It now looks as if it has cleared up completely so I am relieved about that.

You’ve had some unusual problems over the years Marina, things I’ve never heard of such as this sacral nerve. It sounds as if it was simple to remove. Well done on following the exercises you found which helped your other problem.
Yes I’m looking forward to the next trip, life is good.

Marina, I hope your procedure went well today and  it's good to hear that the exercises have helped you.

Plantar Fasciitis is very painful Marina. I developed it when I retired. I think it was wearing shoes with no heels. It took some time to fix, I hope I never get it again.
Judy, not long to your trip now. I love Singapore but doubt I will be up there again.

Judy, enjoy your holiday. Sounds good.
Today, hair cut, cleaner and I’m buying a train ticket for an excursion with Probus on Saturday.

Thanks ladies. I received a surprise this morning from neighbours who insisted I accept $50 for G and me to have a Singapore Sling at Raffles. No amount of arguing could convince them not to be so generous.

Cookie, should your plantar fasciitis recur or you hear of someone with it, the exercise that worked so well for me was to firmly roll a wooden foot massager under my foot for a couple of minutes a couple of times during the day.  Sadly, I didn't know this when I had PF two years ago and was in absolute agony for months. It is such an easy treatment and, if you are sitting watching TV (watching DH cooking?) just sit down and start rolling your foot on the massager.  I got my foot massager from Victoria Market so I should imagine they would be available in most big city markets.  If you can't find one and are in need let me know and I'll get one for you.  My surgeon hadn't heard of the wooden foot massager, but another idea from him was to roll a bottle of freezing water under your foot - don't forget to sear a sock, though.

Judy, what wonderful neighbours you have.  So many positive things happening in your life now, that is really marvellous

I am recuperating at home today following my procedure yesterday - I tried going to work but kept falling asleep at my desk.

Thanks Marina, life can be full of surprises - good ones that is.
If you have staff that can take over your job then it was wise to leave them to it. I don’t think I’ve ever walked into a shop and found someone asleep 😁

Judy, what a lovely thing for your neighbours to do.  Enjoy your self on your trip.
