Don't go all shy on us again - just send it in - Tenina will cook it for the team at HQ.

Themed cooking is harder than normal, everyday cooking.  Tenina do you go through the recipes submitted here on our forum and try some of those with a view to eventually including the best in a recipe book.  There are some beauties on this site and it is good for all of us to have access to them right here and now. If recipes are sent to you exclusively, do we get to see them or do we have to wait until a book comes out?  Maybe that is the problem, we want to share them with our friends and not have them pocketed away with the chance of appearing in a book at some stage. I could be wrong but that is what I suspect is happening.   ???

That is what happens - I agree it would be good to have a list even of what is submitted and be able to try some of the recipes.  I think that I have posted all recipes that I have submitted, but it would be great to see what others are doing.

Poor Tenina thinks that I want to have every TMX recipe on this site - and to a large extent that is the case - at least it would then be available to all.  But it may be more to do with having material to put into salable books !!  So if you send them in and they don't get published, please put them on here after  ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;) ;)

Who wants to wait that long! Surely it is about us and not money in someone else's pocket

I also think it would be a great idea if all the recipes were at least listed "somewhere".  That way any of us who have sent in one would at least know that it got there!!!!!  I also have posted what I sent into the comp, didn't know if this is what I should have done,  but as I hadn't heard that it had been received, I thought I would share them with you all.

Yes Trudy, it is no use 100 recipes sitting on someone's desk whilst us out here in thermoland are hungry for new recipes. I haven't sent any in - feel as though if they are good enough someone will find them and test them for a book anyway. I just want to share with the people who have given so much to me over the past month - I wouldn't love my TMX so much if it wasn't for those people.

I agree about sending the recipes in.  When the comp was first suggested I thought that all the recipes sent in would be on the TM blog.  I am afraid to say that I am reluctant to donate to the next book  that they will try to sell me.  I am much happier to post here, but I have been a bit slack!! :o
As I am now on toilet training alert with a very large puppy, at least I have an excuse, but will put one up later today.

OK Thermies, I hear you...the rules of the recipe comp on the blog are this;
You send me a recipe that fits the current criteria (March being Easter and/or Green...) I select a couple of finalists from recipes, make a few, (some are automatically eliminated without testing) and then the two best are up on the site by the end of the month (I am running short this month due to late entries...but they will be up next week...thanks to all those who heard my pathetic cry for entries!!) The voting for the winner is then left to the votiing public via comment, that means you! Recipes that are then in my 'vault' are free to be published elsewhere.
Trust me when i say there is an absolute ENDLESS supply of recipes coming at me night and day. If you were a contributor and feel that you would like to put a recipe up on here that you have already sent in and that apparently has been 'passed over', by all means go ahead. It may still show up in a future publication and possibly with a few tweaks as well, but nonetheless, the credit will be yours...and BTW you will always get a copy of any publication where your recipe appears.
I hope this helps, it is never my intention to try and stop recipe ideas from being printed or published...the more the merrier I say. I am a lone developer, cooking my little heart out and trying to get them out there as fast as I can...so please help me to help you... :o

I am able to confirm 100% that Tenina is good to her word.

I received a copy of the Vegetarian Cookbook in the mail on Wednesday - a very unexpected surprise.

The recipes that were included from me have been published either here or in the blog - so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE send recipes to her as well - IT IS THE CHEAPEST WAY TO GET A BOOK !!!!!   - gratis.

So Grazie Mille Tenina and team.

Woweeeeeee! I am thrilled to bits with Tenina selecting my cookies. Now I need to ask very humbly-how do I go about voting please?  I tried before when Thermomixer's recipe was up there but had trouble. Must make the oppositions cookies too, they look lovely.
Yippee ;D ;D :-* :-*

For this month the link is https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=146273928826751996&postID=4929557900851584550 (https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=146273928826751996&postID=4929557900851584550)

For you cookie - type in your comment -something like "I vote for the fantastic decadent chocolate cookies - they are the best !!!!!"

Then you copy the Word Verification and then - if you have a blogger identity you can sign in - or just tick the circle with Name/URL and you can type in your name (pseudonym).

For the URL it would be good if you can paste in http://www.forumthermomix.com/index.php?www to draw people here  ;) ;) ;)

Then click PUBLISH YOUR COMMENT - it won't appear instantly - Tenina checks them first.

Good luck

Looks like biscuits have brought the thermomixers out of the woodwork - already a fair number of votes on the blog.

I hope to cook them soon.  We love coconut and lime, but might try adding some orange liqueur to the chocolate ones for a bit of extra decadence.

Good luck cookie.

Thanks for doing a GF version too brazen.  Are we all invited for coffee ???   ;) ;D :-* ;D ;) :P :-*

There's nothing like a nice biscuit or simple cake. Especially when you love baking. (and eating, but don't tell anyone)

I have a solution for the whole lone tester thing...we are building a new website over at HQ right now and there will be a section where you, the passionate TM'ers can apply to become recipe testers...all done online and remotely of course. I will let you know when we have it up and running as I am hanging out for some of you to enrol. It will involve a commitment and we will not accept every application! We will take a waiting list also and there will be 'groups' of testers that you can opt in to. It will involve 1 recipe per month and some online feedback stuff, but all simple and productive and you will get a heads up on what is new and interesting that is coming up!! Stay tuned! ::)
