More troubleshooting
« on: January 07, 2012, 11:30:55 am »
I've cooked rice a couple of times in the basket, but when I start the machine the blades chop into the basket a little bit, and there are chunks missing out of it now.  I open the lid, poke it a bit and it will work properly then when I turn it back on.  What am I doing wrong, is there a special way to put the basket in?

Believe it or not I have this with one of my baskets (my original one - never used to do it!!) Now I have to make sure that the pouring lip for the basket is to the front of the bowl (opposite the handle) and then id seems to stop it.

I haven't been able to get an answer or solution to this one ... still working with it and will report back if I have an update  ;)

Glad I'm not the only one!  I'll ask about it when I ring customer service next week.

Mine has done this recently as well - just once or twice, I think, but it just suddenly happened one day.

Now I have to make sure that the pouring lip for the basket is to the front of the bowl (opposite the handle) and then id seems to stop it.

Faffa, my basket always revolves to some degree or another when it is in use so I'm not sure that this would work for me.  I'll look forward to hearing your feed back.

check with your consultant - HO will replace anything faulty. if it's the tm chopping the basket, the basket will be replaced.
