Bread / Re: Using breadmixes in the TM31
« on: November 26, 2010, 12:14:45 am »
Jules I used bread mix as that was all I had originally. I would use it as though it was just flour.
Whereabouts in Perth are you ?SOR or NOR?

When I buy my Baker's flour (I buy 10kg bags) I just put it into smaller plastic bags, put a twisty tie on them and put them back in the original bag. Then if weevils come they will only be in one of the smaller bags and the rest is ok. I've never had that happen but you never know. It takes a bit to re bag it but it's easier than working with the very large bag.

My DH says he is an omnivore. But he can smell coconut at 30 paces and isn't too fond of cumin, and hates avocado.

    Trying to Introduce myself!!
« Reply #4 on: November 25, 2010, 07:10:47 PM »

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hi there,  I'm trying to work out how to introduce myself and I've got a feeling that right now I'm replying to one person rather than introducing myself to the whole forum!!
Just in case I've got this right.....  I've just received my Thermomix.  I haven't even got it out of the box yet!!  I was given a demonstration about 9 months ago and have been saving ever since  and now that I've finally got it I feel rather overwhelmed!!
I'm english,  living in Spain with 2 young children and another on the way  and thought that the Thermomix might help me out with my daily cooking.
If this isn't getting to the whole forum could you let me know how to post to the section [Introduce myself) , thanks xx

Bex,
Spain

Hi and welcome bigbok. I agree that the Indian book will give you lots of lovely curry spices to cook with.

Hi and welcome to Bex too.  Bex I have put a copy of your introduction into the introduce yourself section and now people can say hi to you in 2 different places. :D

It's lovely. Helene also has one on her blog that she has made adapted from the 5 seed bread.

I actually like this more than the original 5 seed bread.

This looks amazing. I'm wondering what bread I'll make to have with Christmas lunch, this could be it. We don't normally have bread as there are so many meats and salads, but this year I want to make a bread as I know so many different ones.

True. We don't use egg rings but I found a couple tucked away. I have no idea how long they had been there. Probably since we were first married-nearly 40 years ago. :D
