Chookie you are so right , I have been saying to them their footprint has to be clean so where ever they have been it needs to be left tidy and not leave a footprint behind . Hoping this will make them think . Meanwhile DS and DH continued to set up a watering drip system for all the trees in the back garden ! It works . DD planted a few flowers in pots and a few strawberry plants , also a watermelon plant , think that will be interesting if it fruits . I weeded the vegetable garden of the rocket that had gone to seed , the chooks loved it . DS bantam followed us around all day.

Bumping this Chookie as it is the best strawberry jam recipe specially if you need to make room in your fridge for Christmas food . I even made up quantities with nectarines and raspberries the other day , yum .

We found a kitten in a small pile of wood in the shead last night . Went to see if It was there this morning and could hear it in the roof I thought. DD and I drove to shops 1 hour away , in fact stopped at the physo and then parked the car at shops , we came back to our car to find four ladies looking at the tyres they informed us there was a distressed kitten tucked in behind the Brake disk above the tyre . They had called the Ranger and the police !! At this point I grabbed it by its tail and pulled it out . This is the cutest kitten . Box provided and a desperate plead to take it to the vet and it will be adopted. Truly I felt like a criminal , but the range pulled up as I was removing it , I did hear him say oh well you made my job easy . I decided it would be loved by handing it to one of the ladies as it was the kitten or the pet chicken . The good news is the police did not come . Another adventure. Before I left home I did check under the bonnet for it .

Oh my gosh I left at 6.30 am and we went straight to the dentist at 10.40 , that trip takes 3 hours normally! It poured for the first hour at 80 ks . We got to the Ballarat rd turn off , we keep going to Westgate Bridge it took us an hour . The traffic was bad , 8 ks . DD is fine front Braces moved higher and the surgeon was pleased , she is to do intense exercises to strengthen her knee ! Tell a teenager to exercise! She will but think it is a bit wet to ride her bike . All good . We zoomed around and got so wet that we were laughing . A dash to Apple store to look at computers . Late visit to great nephew and nice , this was our highlight as we gave them a toy Thermomix, yes he was allowed to open it early but too funny as he had gone to bed and new normally that he was not meant to get out “ it's ok mummy I will open it in the morning “ . He put it next to his mum's T31 thermo . Today we left and thought it was meant to be fine we spent many hours in Ballarat shopping . I was getting two Tyers fitted , but there was a problem . Anyway we headed home and stopped close to home at a friends home to pick up my cardigan I had left behind . As we went up the drive it bucketed down for an hour . Cup of tea and chat. Really what a couple of days .
