« on: November 14, 2011, 10:40:17 pm »
Well tonight is the big night - I am finally having my demonstration and taking delivery of my very own Thermomix!!!!!!!!!

I think I am beyond excited, can't wait to start using it and making all these amazing recipes I have read about over the last two years.

Thanks everyone for your support and encouragement over this loooooooong research period.

Shan - soon to be a REAL member of this forum!! :D :D :D

Hi Hally

I use a recipe from the Womens Weekly cookies book called slice & bake cookies. It is a basic mixture that has 4 different variations. I do mine with mini M&Ms in it roll the dough into logs then freeze, when I need them they only take a few minutes to thaw out enough to slice then bake.

We have friends with egg allergies & this recipe has none so its great, I have also changed the butter to Nuttalex for another friends son had a dairy allergy.

Can email you the recipe if you like.

Understand the strain of heaps of birthdays all at once in our family I start them on Feb19 and my youngest ends them on April 9
with all the other in between, that's 6 birthdays in 7 weeks. So my 7 weeks of birthdays are 19/02, 21/02, 06/03, 31/03, 08/04 & 09/04!! CRAZY  :D :D

Firstly I apologise to those who already know this tip but I had never heard it & when I did ...

In the Melbourne Herald Sun on Monday a lady had written in to a section in the paper called In Black & White to say that she had discovered that at either end of your cling wrap, tin foil or glad bake packets there are tabs that when pushed in they secure the rolls in place and they no longer bounce around!!

Of course I went straight to the cupboard & got out the cling wrap and tad-ah there it was, pushed them in and no more cling wrap bouncing around!!!!!

As they say small things amuse small minds but I,m loving it!

Excellent - glad they sent it to you regardless of the postage!

Have you had a chance to look at it yet? I am addicted to cookbooks but unfortunately more for the "pretty" pictures than the actual recipes!!

Chit Chat / TMX or coffee machine
« on: November 08, 2011, 06:04:48 am »
In eager anticipation of the arrival of my TMX I wanted to tap into the vast knowledge out there.

My question is can you make a decent latte & cappuccino in the TMX or will I still need to purchase a coffee maker?

Any thoughts & recipes?

Thanks

Shan  :)
