I can imagine how I would feel if I had a fall Judy, so it is no wonder your Mum was shaken up. Poor thing. I hope she enjoys being spoiled.

Respite from the rain today. The rain returns tomorrow. 😠

When walking Chance I’m always aware of dogs that for some reason don’t like Chance. This morning a black Labrador who I avoid like the plague attacked him. Fortunately being a passive dog Chance didn’t retaliate. My goodness I went berserk!! I shouted and swore at the owner and his dog. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬I told the owner his dog should be on a lead and if Chance need any vet treatment he would be footing the bill.  Fortunately Chance is fine.

CC, that is awful. I hope Chance and you are ok. I notice dog walkers often carry a stick.  I think It may be to protect their dog.
Judy, I have fallen over a couple of times and it is the shock rather than the physical damage that is the problem.
Rain has set in . We have had several lovely warm Spring days.
I have burnt out the FF element in my oven.  The repair man came and noticed the TMX on the bench.  He also has one . Loves it.  I gave him a jar of TMX Strawberry jam.

Poor Chance and Poor you!  Uncontrolled dogs are scary and should be on a lead at all times when they are away from their home.

CC, that is terrible.  I am always wary when around dogs.  We dog sat one for a couple of days once and it hated me, I couldn't go out the door without it growling at me.  It was on a lead but I never felt safe.
Overcast and showery here.  More rain to come.

Of course you did Chookie LOL
It can be terrifying when these dog incidents happen Denise, I’m so glad you went off at him. I hope they both went off with their tails between their legs and he will do as you asked.

Well done Denise. You had every right to be very angry and I'm glad you yelled and told the owner where to go. The last thing you need is poor Chance being attacked.

Dog fights just scare me , glad Chance is ok . Always had dogs when I was a kid , we learnt that no matter how scared you are of a dog pretend that you are not, as they sense fear . It is a great life lesson to push you fears away mentally , but it is so hard to especially when that happens Denise .

Good morning everyone.  Cold, wet & windy here.  We had a storm come through last night.  Plenty of thunder & lightening and very heavy rain.

Back to winter today. Cool with showers.
Several of the Chooks are not using the new rollaway laying nests.  Going to physically introduce them to it today. I think it is the old girls.

I am fascinated with your rollaway laying nests, Chookie.  I would love to have hens at Guildford but was always worried about eggs as I have heard a lot about some hens eating their eggs and I wouldn't want that to happen.  Feeding and watering them would be OK as there are loads of alternatives for that.  I might have to sit down with you and Ral sometime and have a good long conversation on hens, breeds, etc., but not for a while yet, we have to settle down following our building works first.

Good morning everyone.  Sunny but quite windy here.  Have done the laundry this morning taking advantage of the wind, my sheets etc should dry quickly.

Think we had snow flurries over night.  It is very cold again.
Marina, love to show you the Rollaway Laying nests.  There is a Chook man very near you at Guildford.  He has very good layers.

Good morning everyone.  Cold here too Chookie, no snow but it is windy.

DD has bought a TM6, she is so excited.  Her demo is tomorrow so I am going down to see what it does.  I have no intention of buying one, I am very happy with my 31.
