Chit Chat / Re: What are you cooking today?

I made CADA from the Vegetarian Book / Cyndi O'Meara for the first time and it was delicious.  I had never thought to give this a go until now (I thought it looked a bit boring) and am totally bowled over by it. So simple and quick.  I had it with yoghurt and organic blueberries scattered on top.
I like this as well Cuilidh and make it often for my breakfast. My DH just can't understand my "unique taste" in foods and just mumbles under his breath saying I eat the most weird foods :D :D Have you tried Jo's Raw Fruit Cereal, another favorite of mine ;)

I hadn't seen this recipe, CC, and thanks for giving me the link.  I've printed it off and will also give it a try.  The two recipes seem to be quite similar - perhaps "variations on a theme" would describe the resemblance of one to the other - but the tastes will be really different with the addition of the spices and seeds in Jo's recipe.  Both are heaped with goodies and lovely taste sensations so it looks like I've got a new recipe to try this weekend.

Bedlam, that is a wonderful and, I am sure, challenging future you are planning (after your equally wonderful holiday, of course).  Good luck with your fostering.  You have to be very special people to take on foster children, it is something I could never tackle.  Well done and good luck (and keep practicing the play dough)!

Are you serious, JD, or is this 1st April ;)?  They sound to be a totally unique muffin - I really think I will have to be a coward and wait a wee while before I give these a try ;D.

First prize for the most interesting recipe, though, I think.

Hope you have a great holiday Farfallina - it will give me a chance to catch up on all your recipes I've printed out but haven't had a chance to try yet!!!

Safe travels and happy times.

Just back from Cyndi's talk this morning.  She was nothing short of fantastic and so incredibly interesting.  If anyone has a chance to catch any of her presentations do try to make it, it is well worth it.  Even if you're not interested in her diet, still go, she has got so much to say, much of it is a real eye-opener.

What a patient and persistent lady you are, Donna.  Glad you won through in the end - the fun starts now.  Your whole family are going to be spoilt with great food from now on.

When I saw this subject heading I thought it was going to be a joke or nothing really there, just posted for a laugh - something along the lines of the children's story about the Emperor's new clothes!  How wrong could I be?  This looks fabulous and has been printed out and added to my "must do" pile.  Thanks for the recipe Chookie.

Welcome to the forum, Olive.  My sauce often ends up quite green as well, don't worry about it, everything tastes just as delicious regardless of the colour.

That was very daring of you buying a truffle, Sim.  I haven't a clue what to do with them, but admire your sense of adventure.  Let us know how it goes (and whether it tastes like $50.00!).

24 years and no trade in on a new model - I call that a superb achievement.  Happy Anniversary and sorry that your plans for a break away went awry, that would be disappointing for you both as I should image you were both looking forward to it and there would be so much organising to be done in advance when you take Geoff away for more than a couple of hours.  Hope your lunches went some way toward making up for everything.
