That's great news Karen but hey, the retreat is next weekend so you still have a chance to grab the one remaining half price ticket and join us  ;D  You'll have a lot of fun moving into your kitchen this weekend then you can do what I did with one of my new kitchens, just sat there for ages looking at it.

We nearly had you, what a pity.  Mmm, wonder if someone would be willing to swap with you.

Today (finally!!)  after 20 months of waiting - our new kitchen is ready and the builders are handing it over to us this afternoon.

Unfortunately I have to work late, but as soon as I get home, I am in there with broom, vacuum, dusters and mop, cleaning from top to bottom.  And then over the weekend - moving in!

Last night DH and I went round all the cupboards and drawers with post-it-notes and stuck on labels saying what would be kept in each drawer and cupboard.  It is a little forest of yellow paper leaves in there this morning  :D

At least I will have something exciting to do this weekend while the retreat is on - I so badly wanted to come to the retreat, but at least this will keep me occupied instead.

I can't believe you gave up a weekend with us for a new kitchen. That is a bit harsh ;D

We want pictures when it is all neat and tidy. You are gunna have a great weekend.

Today I spent the day sanding window frames, skirting's and door frames, in the spare room or what I call the 'guest bedroom,' of the new house we are  building getting ready for painting.  All done by hand.  Are there any home renovators out there that have used that electric sander that looks a bit like an iron, thought that might be a bit easier to use, and less stressful on my wrists and arms, as I have quite a few more rooms to go over the next few days.

Wow that's a lot of food Judy, I don't think they'll get through all that whilst your away.  I'm sure DH and the carers will appreciate it.

Today I've made Tenina's chicken stock powder and golden syrup cakes.  I've spend most of the day continuing with the storage shed cleanout, happy to say it's almost done.  Just a few heavy items that I need my DH's help to move.  I need to go back to work for a rest  ;D

I will probably throw some things in a bag Friday morning just before I leave.
I child-proofed my house, but they still get in!
