My user name is Maddy because it's my ebay name.

Here is a couple of pics of my little old kitchen, just before I bought my thermomix.
I have moved things around, updated and added appliances and decor since this picture....bit of a bad habbit of mine  ;)

.....every surface (including benches) has been covered in paint.  The house was built in 1949, and was originally the managers cottage of a large farm, before it was all subdivided.  I often groan how it's tiny, but it really has character and warmth.  Many refer to it as a dolls house  :P

.....and this is what I really look like

Maddy we would have guessed that was your kitchen even if your name wasn't there  ;D ;D  Your DH must be such an easy man to live with, I know my SIL would never let his DW have a pink themed kitchen.  Has your TMX got a pink transfer on it?
Your 3rd picture reminds me of a visit to Johnny Rockets in Melbourne many years ago.

Maddy, I'm not a girly pink person at all but your kitchen is stunning! It's like something from a film, unbelievable.

Oh I loved Johnny Rockets!!!!  Sadly it didn't last long in Geelong, and disappeared a good while back.
I have soooo many 50's diner ideas for my "one day new kitchen"......I really should have been around in that era *sighs*.
......and hubby really has no input or care factor on what I do to the house  ;D as long as he doesn't have to do it....he's happy if I'm happy, and it's open slather for me pinkify everything!  :P

I had to stifle a giggle at your kitchen Maddy... it's just so YOU!!  :D

Loving the photos... and yes... my hair really IS purple... and shocking blue.  ;)

My forum name is my initials... simple really.  I have a few other forum names I use on other forums, including my nickname given to me by school friends (kermi) and my roller derby name... none seemed appropriate for here though!  :P

Ceejay, I guessed your name came from the initials C and J.

Maddy, I'm gobsmacked looking at your kitchen! It's straight out of the 1950's! Just stunning. I just can't imagine a man sitting on those chairs, though. Especially not my man!!
A great cook is one who can rustle up a fabulous family meal with some freezer burnt chops, wilted carrots, sprouting potatoes and cabbage that's gone brown on the cut edges.

Meganjane you must be wrapped with your renovation and wow!  Maddy your kitchen looks like something out of a magazine.  I really wanted to share some photos myself, but am without a camera at the moment, so I've found a few that show off parts of my kitchen.  Ceejay, would love to see more of your hair!!

Have spent an hour or so mucking around with photos and finally enlisted my husbands help, so here goes, fingers crossed. Firstly, there is a pic of me in 2009 in the corner of my kitchen . . . my husband took it because he thought it was hysterical that I was using my laptop to cook with, with Nigella Lawson's How to be a domestic goddess in the back.  Secondly, there's a pic of my boys, the day the oven arrived in 2003 . . . we had been without one for 3 months and home made pizzas were much anticipated!  They are 13 and 16 now!  My kitchen doesn't have any overhead cupboards, partly because I'm short, and partly so I can look out over our "sunken" lounge room to through the front windows to the sea :-).

Fingers crossed, fingers crossed . . .
