I have been mincing chicken and then cooking both chicken mince and rice for a very sick little puppy who has had a bad reaction to her vaccination.  I hope she recovers soon as the mess has been daunting - to say the least!!

Sounds strange - reaction to vaccine?  Did she have diarrhoea or vomiting?

Vet says it is a reaction to the C5 vaccine which she had last night.  Pup seems to be on the mend now.

That's good to hear Amanda, for both of you.

I made Judydawn's recipe for beef with beer and it was easy and tasty. My first real success with beef in the TMX. Will be making some more Lemon Butter today. Made my first butter yesterday. It is so easy. I have memories of Mum making it in a butter churn and washing it from when I was a kid and that took ages. I noticed someone (possibly CarolineW) had bought cream when it was on special and made butter. So I did the same. How cheap and easy.

Today I'm making Shepherds Pie. Minced the meat in the TMX and making Garlic Mash for the top. Cooking the mince in the frypan coz I'm feeding about 15 tonight.

I am considering making that espresso coffee thing in the drinks section. Can't remember the name off hand. Might make myself one tomorrow when no one else is home :D

Big frypan - sounds like Warren's kind of party - you are generous soles.

I think a couple of G & T's may be needed - if you survive.

Very unlucky - not very common to have a reaction like that.  I had a vaccine reaction - myself - after having vax for O/seas and 4 hours after injections I could not keep my eyes open, had a splitting headache and fever.  They can be bad - sympathy !!!!!

This happens every Wed night when we have homegroup. I had to make up a menu plan for the whole term and tell the other two families what to bring. We feed 6 kids first (8 if one family brings theirs) and then 5-7 adults after the kids finish. Last night, everyone was here because it was someone's birthday. Its organised chaos.....

We made the butter chicken that was in the book last night and yummo! We're huge fans of Indian cuisine here and have spent so much money on getting takeaway Indian, now we can make it easily at home yay!

Made meatloaf for dinner last night - just very basic, but an old favourite.

I find that you really need to have the meat a little frozen for best results with chopping in the TMX  cube then freeze a little bbefore chopping.

Others thoughts or hints would be appreciated.

yes i always use my mince slightly frozen too. also, you need to remove the meat and then take out all th elittle bits of tendons wrapped around the blades so they don't cook in (blerg)

last night i finished off my chicken and sweet corn soup in the tmx and i also made my creamed corn in it (really easy) after discovering i had none in the cupboard!

Last night we had the Varoma chilli chicken dumplings from this site. It was the first time I had done anything like that in the Varoma. They were very nice, we simply used sweet chilli sauce as the dipping sauce. We had them with stir fried vegies in the TMX. Great meal and it will be repeated.

Tonight's tea consisted of Bron's Meatballs in Tomato Sauce (varoma cooked) & her steamed garlic rice.  Meatballs & sauce cooked yesterday and rice tonight.  Lovely meal served sprinkled with parmesan cheese.  Not a great meatball fan but must admit I did enjoy these.  Next time I will add some chilli paste to the meatballs. Heaps left over as DH only wanted 4 and I had 3. Thanks for telling us how many meatballs to make too, it is always a help to know how many you should end up with.

Have had fun with my TMX today. I made banana icecream and beat it up twice more, pizza dough for tonights meal, butter (using more cream I got on special), shortcrust pastry for tomorrow nights quiche and lime butter. A fun day.
