Suzanne it will all be good.  They all look after each other . Good time of year to go . She will probably need to sleep for about  a month when she gets home!  My daughter made some lifelong friends . She only got one tattoo.

Well it was more than twenty years ago and tatts were not too popular then. It was a small rose on an ankle.  We were a bit shocked but what to do?  She did three or four contiki all up in Europe and the US.

Sounds like she had some great times.  I didn't travel much when I was younger. Turned 18 and married and had my first daughter 18 months later so was busy for a few years. We took them to NZ but that was all.  When our son turned 20 we took him, his fiancé and our youngest daughter to Europe with us. They had a ball experiencing the different lifestyle and the great things to see.  They also  spent a lot of time testing all the European beer and wines etc.  they have been back on their own after too.  Suzanne, It does them so much good to see the world  - she will be fine. My DH and I try to go mid may to mid June - mainly to France. It's a fabulous country IMHO!

Working from home today - it's been a very busy week so haven't had much time to catch up on the forum. Hope to sneak some time in today!

I feel like the biggest idiot. I have been busily cooking for the Royal Show as the cookery entries were due this morning. as well as marking assignments, organising the kids, assisting my daughter etc etc.
Last year I made an edible standing christmas tree for the show and as I drove over the speed humps taking the kids to school, I heard a crash in the back of the car.  I was too scared to look in the box at that point. Sure enough, when i got to the showgrounds and opened the box with the christmas tree ( made from a tower of iced star biscuits) in it, it was in several pieces. I tried putting it back together, but it didn't quite work and I couldnt get the star on top to stand up.
This year, I was determined that my christmas tree would not collapse, and have spent quite a lot of time putting it together. It worked! I got it to the showgrounds safely. Problem is ( here is the idiot part) I hadn't put an entry in this year's show for the christmas tree  ??? ??? ???

ES, you are not going well are you ;D  So much time and effort in your already very busy life, it is such a shame things haven't turned out again for you this year.  Third time lucky maybe next year - I wish you great success when you do finally get that successful entry in  :-*

That's what I thought, too, obbie . . . .be pretty mean not to - particularly seeing the entry had been completed and ready to go . .

I doubt it girls.  If everyone turned up with last minute entries they would be inundated with them and unable to get things underway for the opening of the Royal Show.
