Thanks Karen
I made some the other day very similar spice ingredients and added some nutri-grain (a breakfast cereal avaliable in oz), and dry broken up 2 min noodles.  Both are yummy in the mix and it cuts down the cost of having to use loads of nuts (or makes more mix).  ;D

I do a mix that has nutri grain, mixed nuts, french onion soup and cream of chicken soup. (both powders) We call it Nuts and Bolts. I mix it all together with about 1/2 cup of oil and heat it and let cool. It's very more ish.

I personally prefer the chilli powder to the flakes DJ. Have also used cayenne powder. I think the powder coats the nuts better than the flakes.  :)

I have a mix on the go now, mix of nuts, forgot to buy peanuts.
Using up old nuts too, shelled a packet of pistachios, yummy.
My sister is coming next week so I'd better bag It up quick for her, she loved it last year and it will save me from myself!

Next batch will get peanuts.

Brazen's recipe is the one I use.  DH liked the spice mix so much he used it as a marinade for chicken wings last time we had a barbecue!

Had to google bagel chips and found this recipe

http://dairyfreecooking.about.com/od/fingerfoods/r/Recipe_BagelChips.htm

Bought more cashews for the next mix as only peanuts could find were salted!
